  • memory foam mattress brand comparison?

Our local bedding shop has Tempur-Pedic, Enso, and Boyd brand memory foam mattresses. From what I gather, Tempur are heads above the rest, but does anyone have any exerience with mattresses of the other 2 brands? The Boyd are much better priced, but I assume that comes at cost of quality. Would very much appreciate any input!!

  • Installing glass mosaic tile backsplash in kitchen...?

The wall is painted with a slight texture to it--not completely flat. Will this cause major problems or will the thinset be able to even things out enough? I am hoping not to have to sand down the whole wall... Also, we have lots of outlets in the wall, and one of them is 2/3 on and 1/3 off the area we plan to tile--I see that most videos show removing the faceplates and tiling up to the hole and then replacing the plate, but if we do that on this particular (3 switch) plate, the plate will be a centimeter off the wall on the righthand end with nothing behind it. Any suggestions? This will be my first tiling project...hoping the challenges presented by widowsills and outlets won't be insurmountable...

  • Would regular rolled (not instant) oats be a good substitute for porridge oats?

I have a recipe from England that I want to make, comes out like a granola bar-type thing, and am not sure what the best US approximation of porridge oats would be.
