  • My husband is the sole executor of his niece's inheritance. Since the girls mother is irresponsible, his?

Father made him the only person with access to her trust fund and he makes all the investment decisions and doesn't have to report any gains or losses or answer to any one else in the family or anyone else about her funds. Apparantly, he borrowed $15k from this account. I did not benefit from this loan in any way, didn't sign for it and didn't spend a penny of it. Now he is telling me that this is a marital debt, community property and I need to pay Back $7500. Could he be right? Am I going to be on the hook for this? I didn't approve this nor did I benefit from it.

  • My husband is the custodian of his niece's inheritance. He is the sole executor of her trust fund.?

His father left the money for her when he died, and because her mother is irresponsible, my husband was put in charge. He is the only person with access to her money and he decides how it is spent. Apparently, he has borrowed $15k out of this account. I have not benefited from this loan. He's told me that that is a marital debt and that I will be legally obligated to pay back $7500. I did not spend this money. Will I be on the hook for this?

  • Are you insulted by Paula's denial last week/confession this week regarding drug addiction?

Just 2 weeks ago Paula swore on Niteline that she had never done drugs in her life, didn't take pain killers for her chronic neck pain problem. She said the pain was unbearable, but she took nothing for it.

The very same week, she shook that very same neck around wildly on camera as she choreographed a routine for Idol.

This week we learn that at the time she gave that interview, she had already given a contradictory interview, confessing to an addiction, to be published in next months Ladies Home Journal.

I'm not making any judgment about her personal problem, but am I the only insulted that she went out of her way to lie, when she knew this article was only a couple of weeks away, just to grab a few more headlines for herself?

Is it true that any publicity is good publicity? Will this help her image and sell a few thousand more units of tacky jewelry on QVC?

  • Paula Abduhl, miracle cure? and other observations?

I just thought I might share some of my observations about last nights bizzarro show and see what you all thought

    1. Paula was on dateline or 20/20 this week and hitting the press hard about constant pain and that she's not on drugs. And yet, she was whipping that little head full of crazy around and jumping like a crazed chimp on a bender. She didn't think that out too well.

    2. Paula, who I do love for her unique relationship with reality, was waaay too proud of her "choreography". Which, let's face it, was just a very insipid combo of her 80's video moves, MJ's 80's video moves, and every dance sequence in the movie "ShowGirls" Lots of flailing arms and jazz hands. Those group numbers are painful enough to watch. Why make it worse for everyone?

    3. Why on earth were most of the contestants wearing sunglasses for that? Were they hoping we wouldn't recognize them?

    4. Vehlda whoever, whatever, bless her heart, would never have made it to Hollywood. Pitchy is not the word. And I thought she would either keel over or bust a seam before the end.

    5. Thelma Houston and Big Bird: separated at birth? discuss.

    6. I found it disturbing how many times and ways we were threatened with the assault of old lady couter. Paula, Rheada? and Thelma all came dangerously close to scarring the collective psyche of an already fragile America.

I could go on, but let's start with that. Any thoughts? Agree, disagree?

  • What song is stuck in your head right now?

Is it something you like or something that snuck in there just to drive you insane? I've had the theme song to Hogan's Heros on a constant loop for about a year now!

  • Why are professional athletes competing in the Olympics?

I was under the impression that the Olympic games were for amateur athletes only, but pro basketball players are competing. What gives? Did they change that rule?

  • Have you seen the movie Juno?

What did the note say that Juno left on Vanessa's door step? There was a glare on the screen and I couldn't read it.
