  • How to Fix Blue Screen HP Windows Vista?

My computer was running great. My virus protection was about to expire so I bought and installed McAfee. Big mistake. I have had nothing but problems. My computer was virus free before the install. I did a full scan with my other product before installing McAfee. I finally got it to were it would load. I did a virus scan with McAfee and got rid of the virus (or so I thought). McAfee did say I had 1 virus, but don't remember which one. Again, no issues or viruses before install. After I finally got the virus off and had a clean scan I was on my Computer for a few. No issues. Ran fine. I came home from work the next day and now my computer won't work! I turn it on and I get the blue screen. I can't do anything. Blue screen says escape, recovery etc. I can't even recover no matter how many times I hit F11. One option says reboot and that won't work either.

I don't know a lot about computers. My computer was FINE before I did the McAfee disk (I swear)! My computer is a couple of years old. Never any issues. I have Windows Vista.

1.) If I can't get it past the blue screen am I screwed and will have to take it in?

2). Since I don't know much about computers how do I know that the computer place won't over charge me or charge me for repairs I don't need? Any tips?

3.) What type/product do you recommend for virus protection? I had bad luck with Norton and will not use that. Now I can add McAfee to the do not use list.

Any advice is much appreciated!!! Thanks!

  • Final four - So You Think You Can Dance?

What do you think about Evan being in the final 4?

I think Evan is great at his style and it seems like he puts a lot of effort into what he does, but I was surprised to see he made it this far. Again... his broadway stuff is great, but it doesn't seem like he picked up on some of the other styles the way some of the other dancers did. I guess I would have liked to have to see Jason in the final four. Ade is a good dancer, but there was just something about him.... not sure what. Maybe his personality or something. I would have like to have seen Jason in the final 4. I love the other 3 dancers that are in the final four. Who would you chose if Evan hadn't made it?

  • Anyone interested in the version of Melrose Place?

Is anyone looking forward to seeing the new Melrose Place?

I used to watch the original and loved it. I'm not a big Ashley Simpson (Simpson-Wentz...whatever she goes by) fan. I see Sydney is back. I loved her character.

    What are your thoughts?

  • Credit card debt: Pay with stocks/profit sharing?

Unfortanely, I have racked up credit card bills. I am roughly $6,000 in debt. I do have money going into my 401k, stock and other funds monthly. I am wondering if I should sell stock to pay off my credit card debt. I may be leaving my current company and could also take my profit sharing money versus rolling it over. I know I will have tax/fees with doing either of these. Doing one or the other would pretty much cover almost all of the credit card debt. Currently I make the minimum monthly payment on my credit card. Sometimes a little over. The interst rate is apprx. 12%. I wonder if using the stock or profit sharing would be wise or not. Once the credit card is paid I can stick the monthly credit card amount into savings or my 401k. What is the best thing to do? I had racked up credit card bills do to a medical situation and a few emergencies. All is good again and I want to be debt free. Any advice? Thanks.
