How do I block all HuffingtonPost.com links?
3 AnswersSecurity7 years agoIn the George Zimmerman trial...?
Do you think Zimmerman committed murder? Or did a young punk attack him - and all Zimmerman did was take out the trash?
4 AnswersCurrent Events8 years agoWhy does Yahoo screw itself up?
Not only is the new comment format a loser, but my keychain doesn't even recognize their new login page. It was working before - so why did Yahoo eff it all up?
1 AnswerOther - Yahoo Products8 years agoWhat are typical centripetal forces in a dentist's drill?
Considering the rotating portion of a dentist's drill (or any other similarly fast motor), and using a radius of .01 meters, a mass of .001 kg and an angular velocity of 200,000 rpm (6283 m/s), application of the formula for centripetal force (f=mv^2/r) yields a force of 3947608 Newtons, or 443 TONS of force trying to rip the little gizmo apart.
Is there an error in my math? Is the surface of the rotating mass really moving at more than 18 times the speed of sound?
If it all checks out - why don't dentist's drills explode?
1 AnswerPhysics8 years agoWhy can't Yahoo leave its formatting alone?
It seems every time Yahoo changes its format, it's for the worse. I hated the scrolling-picture interface, but the latest changes are far worse - rendering Yahoo pretty much unusable.
Why can't they offer a simple text version that allows me to check off which stories I want to read and dim out those I've already read? Or better yet, just list the last 200 stories chronologically by release time, and grey out those I've visited? That way, I can quickly scan what's new and easily see (and ignore) the stories I've already read.
Bottom line: Are you sick to death of Yahoo's efforts to create a fancy USELESS interface?
5 AnswersOther - Yahoo Products9 years agoWill Gingrich wind up debating himself at the Trump "debate"?
Trump has proven that he's little more than a clown with bad taste. First there was his fake campaign for president. Now he's holding his own presidential "debate". With Cain out of the running, Romney, Paul and Huntsman already having turned him down, and rumbles that Perry and Bachman will also decline, who's left? Will it be Gingrich versus Santorum? Of will Trump invite his counterpart, the "Rent is too damned high" candidate, Jimmy McMillan?
5 AnswersElections9 years agoWhy do original equipment tires of different sizes on a Dodge truck use the same aspect ratio?
My 1996 Dodge shows 225/75-16, 245/75-16 and 265/75-16 tires are all "original equipment" sizes. But unless I misunderstand the process, (assuming the speedometer is calibrated for the 245 tires) the error in speedometer readings will be about +/- 4% for the other tire sizes. Using an aspect ratio of 70 reduces the error by about a factor of 4 for the wider tires. Why doesn't the manufacturer recommend the reduced aspect ratio?

4 AnswersDodge9 years agoWhy would you NOT want to vote for Ron Paul?
Romney is on both sides of every issue. Same thing with Gingrich. Gingrich and Cain appear to be serial philanderers. All three of them are liars. Perry's not safe. Can you imagine someone that drug-addled with his finger on the nuclear button? Santorum? Bachman? Another 4 years of Bush II (aka Obama) will push America over the edge into economic chaos.
Paul's the only candidate talking seriously about debt reduction, ending the wars, restoring America.
How could anyone vote for anyone else?
33 AnswersElections10 years agoWhy do people who know nothing about candidates still think they should vote?
For example, Cain supporters don't seem to know he's a Federal Reserve supporter (and former president of the board of the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank). Romney supporters either don't seem to know, or care, that he's been on BOTH sides of almost every issue. Perry? Is anyone who's paying attention ready to vote for HIM? Then there's Ron Paul, who has been right so often for so long on so many things, it seems that anyone who has a clue would be voting for him - but he's still down in the polls.
Most people don't seem to know anything about the candidates, but they say they'll "make up their minds" right before the election (without knowing anything more than they know now). We all know we can't rely upon campaign ads - so why is it that people who don't even know what they're voting for go ahead and vote anyway?
7 AnswersElections10 years agoWhy are most Republicans too stupid or ignorant to support Ron Paul?
He's been right on all the important issues since long before they WERE issues. He said the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were pointless and would be too expensive back in 2002. He also warned of the Housing Bubble that same year. He's been warning about the dangers of the debt and the Federal Reserve for decades. He's the ONLY candidate with a consistent record of being RIGHT.
So why do some Republican insist on backing candidates with records of being wrong? Or who flip-flop (Romney), or abuse their office (Perry), or who lie badly and often (Cain)?
It's a little like picking someone to be on your football team. You want the guy with the best win-loss record in history? Who has proven over and over that he knows what he's doing? Or some turd who tells you whatever you want to hear - whether it's true or not?
Please explain Republican stupidity on this matter.
17 AnswersPolitics10 years agoThe budget cuts is a sham. What do you think will happen?
Turns out that before the $38 billion budget "cut" is even signed, the Congressional Budget Office has come out saying the actual amount cut is less than 1% of the claimed amount. Even if congress DID cut $38 billion, it would only balance the budget for 9.3 days. For the rest of the time, the spending would go on at a rate of $115,000 per second, with $42,000 per second being borrowed money.
I'd like to start a pool. At what point do YOU believe the USA will be irretrievably bankrupt. For purposes of the pool, "irretrievably bankrupt" will mean that the interest on the debt exceeds the total of all source of non-borrowed income for the government (currently about $2.16 trillion a year).
For example, if interest on the debt were currently 15%, the USA would be "irretrieveably bankrupt" today.
I'll start off: December 20th, 2015.
2 AnswersElections1 decade agoDoes anyone remember Obama's promises?
He hasn't closed GITMO, gotten us out of Iraq or Afghanistan, done anything on illegal immigration. or implemented any of the reforms regarding lobbyists, no-bid contracts or importation of prescription drugs that he promised as a candidate.
Are any of his supporters disappointed by his lies? Or does it matter?
8 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhat do you think will happen when Obama doubles the National Debt?
The way he's going, Obama will double the National debt by the end of his term. Does that matter to anyone (especially the people who voted for him) and what do you think will happen?

Why or why not?
Is there anyone who DIDN't vote for him who would now?
9 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhat do the brake indicator lights on a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 mean?
There are two that I want to know about: The one to the right of the steering column that comes on red and spells "brake". What (besides engaging the emergency brake) can make this light come on?
To the left of the steering column is a yellow light that says "ABS". What causes it to come on?
I recently installed a trailer brake control unit - it doesn't seem to work, AND both of the lights described above are now on.
4 AnswersDodge1 decade agoWhere do I connect the trailer brake controller on a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500?
When I used the 7-connector plug in the back to hook up a trailer, everything worked fine, except when I hit the brakes, the trailer brakes locked up. I was told I needed a trailer brake controller (a device that allows you to adjust the strength of signal going to the trailer brakes). I'm now trying to figure out how to install the controller. Unfortunately, the connector, if there is one, doesn't appear to be where any of the articles say it should be. (Either that or I'm just not identifying it properly).

The small black connector to the right of the steering column looks suspiciously like what one might use for a brake controller - but it's not like anything I've encountered in looking for answers on line. Even if it's the connector, where do I get a matching connector and pinout information? The Chilton's Manual was absolutely useless (as it generally seems to be.)
Anyone out there know their Dodge Ram wiring?
The truck is a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 w/3.9L engine.

3 AnswersDodge1 decade ago2005 Nissan Frontier 4 liter - U1000 fault - what does it mean?
Engine suddenly runs rough. Very hard to start. Then runs okay. Diagnostics indicate a U1000 fault. Any insight into what this means? (It's an "engine control harness" problem - but that's pretty broad - anyone with experience that could be more specific would be helpful. Thanks!)
1 AnswerNissan1 decade agoWhat three changes would you make to a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 (5.9L) to improve mileage?
The aforementioned truck gets about 10-11 mpg. I've seen ads for performance chips, air filters, fuel system gizmos - all promising increased fuel efficiency. What works, and what doesn't? What would your recommendation be for the top three changes to boost mileage?
