So I got a ticket last Friday for parking. I went into pay the ticket and the ticket says 15 dollars. The claimed it was 25 dollar caus they changed ticket prices at the turn of year (5 months not too long anything) and I paid it before (or attempted to) before it was claimed late. This cannot be legal to, right?

I'm still mulling over the choice. Really not doing well in high school right (d's and f's). People say I'm smart, but I don't really see it. I really leaning towards not going. I feel there's no point to go if I'm going to really not try and fail and rack huge sums of debt. Thoughts? I'm a junior by the way.

I'm a pretty much failing junior in high school and in a school district boasting their college attendance records. But failing school since I don't want to do the work, is this really the thing I should? How can I do the easy high school work? I don't want to go rack up huge amounts of debt over something that I probably won't do. Thoughts?

Hi, I'm a junior and right now it's dawning on me that I'm probably not going to make it through this year. I'm failing 3 subjects and even guidance says its highly unlikely I can make up for it. It's illegal for me to, but dealing with the ******* at the school who are the judgemental biggots I've ever met, I don't know I'd rather did than face them. I won't do the work to try to get better since I'm a lazy ********, any suggestions?

not meaning to be that one guy, i realize the importance of education, but what i don't understand is why we force things that aren't really needed to be taught in our schools to kids who will not use them. Let's say, for instance, a school makes you take a foreign language for a year, but languages aren't really the persons "thing" so they struggle and get a bad grade. let's say said person becomes an engineer. well that's a waste of time money and credits. things like english class i can understand, because you need to be familiar in the native language and so you don't look like a moron. i can say the thing for math and science. for example, why force our kids to sit through things like calculus that most kids will indefinitely not use later on if they're doing something like art. again, i'm not trying to be like, DOWN WITH THE SYSTEM MAN, i'm just puzzled at why we force things on people that aren't needed, more as busy work.

things i do believe are needed to be taught in schools are:

basic science (overview of sciences all around biology, chemistry, physics)

certain maths like geometry and lower level algebra

english, i think, should be required throughout

history throughout

please, any comments or suggestions (especially from professionals) would be much appreciated.

so, little background, this girl i know rejected me about, eh, 2 weeks or so ago. Thats not the point, i've been over it a while. She texts me today and asks for a favor. i think shes a pretty chill and nice person and so i comply, she asks me to buy condoms for her since shes not 18 and i look 18. so i told her to **** off and thats an extremely dick move to do. (no pun intended) but, i mean, i wouldnt care if she was having sex with some homeless dude off the street, but i feel she crossed the line of asking ME to do that. I mean, that feels like just douchebagery at its finest. opinions please?

Hi I'm a 17 year old who is having major mental stability issues. Mildly traumatic things have happens to me not too often over the last few that include disappointed family failing school and the rejection of the girl that ive liked for a long time. Things that regular people could with and get over, but I'm self destructing now. A little background is that I've been diagnosed with depression around six months ago and they put me on 150 mg Zoloft tablets daily. I am taking them but it doesn't seem to be helping much if any. My question is is there any more major things that I could have? I've tried just about everything to get better and if I can't help soon, I really think I'll be dead within a few months.

I called it Running From Demons. It's about a girl I know who has bipolar and something else but refuses to let me help her.
