I need help writing a pregnancy announcement poem?
My wife and I just found out that we are pregnant and thought it would be cool to announce it to the family on Christmas. She asked me to come up with something creative to put in a card and I immediately thought of a poem, the problem is that I am having trouble coming up with anything that we both like and I am asking you for help.
If you know a poem or could give me some ideas it would be most helpful.
Thanks.
2 AnswersPregnancy7 years agoWhat did you think of House Of Hades?
I just finished House Of Hades by Rick Riordan and I have to be honest, it wasn't my favorite. Don't get me wrong I liked it but I feel like it could have been better.
What are your thoughts on the book?

4 AnswersBooks & Authors8 years agoLooking for a new book to read?
I'm sorry, I know there are a lot of questions on here about people looking for new books and yes it does get annoying but I am in dire need of a new story, I can't just keep reading the same books over and over again.
So with that out of the way, I'm looking for a new book or book series to read, just to give you an idea of what I like, here's my favorites list but in no specific order.
1. The Lord Of The Rings and The Hobbit by JRR Tolkien
2. The Mistborn Trilogy by Brandon Sanderson
3. The Percy Jackson Series by Rick Riordan
4. The Inheritance Cycle (Eragon) by Christopher Paolini
5. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
6. The Chronicles Of Narnia by CS Lewis
7. The Wheel Of Time Series by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson
8. Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett
As you can see I enjoy fantasy more than anything but I do enjoy a good dystopian/post apocalyptic story, and I also love Greek Mythology, don't know why, it's just always fascinated me.
So there you have it, my conundrum. If you know of any books that are anything like what I have on this list then answer, any and all suggestions are most welcomed and greatly appreciated!
6 AnswersBooks & Authors8 years agoI've got a bit of writers block and could use a little help?
First off you need to understand that I'm not writing to get published or make a lot of money, I write because I enjoy it, it's more a hobby than it is a career for me.
The question is this, I'm writing this story that came to me last night at work. Basically every so often there are kids born with abilities, they have these abilities when they are born and have to learn to control them as they grow, things like ridiculous amounts of agility, super strength, talking to animals, reading minds, things like that and I want to call them something but I'm not sure what. Yes it's a bit like the TV show Alphas and that would make a very good name but it's already been used and I can't, and not superheroes, when I hear or read that I think of people in tights running around saving the world, that's not what this story is about, it's quite a bit more dark than that.
Like I said, this story is still very early in the idea stage and I will most likely change some things as I go, all I need is something to call this extraordinary group of people and any and all help is greatly appreciated.

It can be anybody, the main character or the sidekick or the love interest or even the bad guy, the role doesn't matter, which book character is your favorite?
7 AnswersBooks & Authors8 years agoHarry Potter or Game Of Thrones?
I am trying to decide on a new story to read and have narrowed it down to 2. Either the Harry Potter series or the Game Of Thrones series, I haven't read either one (I know I live under a rock) but I am very interested in both.
I ask your opinion on which to start and which to wait on and why.

I'm looking for something new to read and I've narrowed it down to these two. I've never read either one (I know I live under a rock) but I'm having trouble deciding on one. Obviously the one I don't pick will be read when I finish the one I start. Either the Harry Potter series or the Game Of Thrones series?
4 AnswersBooks & Authors8 years agoNeed a new story to read. any suggestions?
I love to read but I'm not a huge fan of reading the same stories over and over again which is what I feel like I've been doing lately. I've read Lord Of The Rings, The Hobbit, The Hunger Games, The Princess Bride, and have recently picked up The Wheel Of Time series. as you can see from this short list I am mostly a fantasy reader and I especially like the darker stuff, but I am always open to new suggestions. I just need something new to read, any suggestions are welcome. thanks.

I got my first tattoo yesterday and right now it's really warm to the touch. I'm probably being paranoid about it but is this normal?
6 AnswersTattoos8 years agoShould I stay with Apple or switch to Android?
As of the moment I own an iPhone 4s and I've thought about switching to an Android phone for a while now, I've heard a lot of good and bad things about them but I also have a pros and cons list for my iPhone too. I'm just trying to cover all my bases and do all the research I can before I make the switch.
