  • Can I choose who to live with?

My parents have been divorced for 8 years. I have 2 younger brothers (12 and 14) and an older sister (18) my sister has decided to go to college a few states away and my father is getting re-married and moving to California from Ohio. My parents have 50/50 custody but we spend most of are time with our mother. I really would like to move with my father to California. I am 16 and I wanted to know if I could move even if my mother says no? She says no because she travels a lot for work but, she also tends to go off on random vacations, spa weekends, ect. and wants me to stay home and take care of my brothers. I think her reasoning is purely selfish and she isn't thinking about my welfare when she says no. I have spent the last 6 years mostly with my mother. I only spend weekends at my dads house and I would like to spend more time with him. My question is would I be able to choose who to live with?
