I have a 6 month old bulldog/pit mix and a 1 yr old pitbull - i was wondering when I go hunting this fall if I could bring them with to help me pheasant hunt. Are they capable of retrieving pheasants or flushingn them out? My pitbull (Mack - male) shows interest in robins and will chase after them and the bulldog/pit (Miley - shes a female) shows interest in alot of animals - rabbits and snakes. How would I go about training them? They need a good job this fall...I guess i dont do alot of hunting so it would be kind of casual....

whenever i go to a website like craigslist or even yahoo or hotmail the top of the page has script saying your computer has potential virus threat or already has viruses you need to scan your computer now. I scanned my whole computer and it came up with one thing that has nothing to do with internet a music file. I restarted my computer, defragmented and cleaned all old files out. My computer is brand new got it in october - please help anyone....what kind of virus is this?

We recently just sold one of our two dogs-well she was a puppy we just bought to take out of a bad situation and we sold her to a nice couple. We had her for a few months but now our male Pit seems to howl and bark a deep bark in the mornings ever since she left. Im worried the neighbors might turn us in because theres nothing I can do to seem to get him to stop. It doesnt last long but it comes in spurts - maybe lasts a total of an hour - We put him outside in the morning in our fenced in yard and let him run and play after being inside all night (he loves outdoors!) And i have watched him out the window and he just walks around and barks then the barks turn into howls. Should we get another pet for him that we plan on keeping? Ive been giving him alot more attention but doesnt seem to work.Or will this phase just pass?

I work at a vet clinic and help out at the local pound. One of the cats there is very timid and I was trying to change her blanket and she freaked out & jumped out of the cage and she scratched my leg. There are three puncture holes. I cleaned it thoroughly but not sure if the cat has rabies or cat scratch fever. The largest scratch is red around it about the size of a dime. I dont feel sick I just don't want anything bad to happen so I am freaking out. I told the vets about the cat scratch and they told me to keep it clean. I was wondering since it started to get red and start radiating around the cut if that was bad its kind of tender to the touch....but its not raised..

We have a 5 month old pit puppy and we have worked with her from the beginning on potty training. She hasn't seemed to learn to poop outside no matter how many times we take her out. she will pee then want to go right back inside. We feed her in the morning once so she has all day to poop and I end up taking her back out at 11:30 PM one last time and nothing and in the morning she has poop in her cage. She also isnt to smart either, could she maybe have a learning disability? Our other pit is 9 mo. old and he is fully potty trained and it took him a week. its been four months you think she would have learned by now!!

I just want some more information on how to cut shitzu and little dogs hair - I know the other basics like bathing, ears, nail clipping but dont know anything about using clippers. I work at a vet clinic and there are two in town and both are looking for a experienced pet groomer and I'd like to upgrade my job from being a kennel cleaner to a pet groomer. Im also going to school to be a vet technician but both places need a groomer ASAP. One big thing the owner said is that they would worry about cutting the clients dogs hair the way the clients want it. So I just need some tips on using a clipper and scissors on smaller - medium dogs. (No smartass or rude comments please...theres no need for it.)

I got hit by a softball last july (2008) and i still have it...i was pitching and the best batter hit a line drive and i jumped up to miss it and it got my leg, right in my inner calf, but just wondering why i still have it, its still warm to the touch and still a light purple color. I had a ultrasound done of my whole leg to see if there was a clot but theres not. should i still be worried about it or what?

I have an almost year old bullypit and his friend who is a border collie/lab mix pup who is 3 months old living outside in a 10 x 20 foot kennel. we rescued both of these dogs and gave them a home- but now that we had our first winter snow im not to sure if the bully will be able to handle the cold, we can't have indoor dogs because of allergie reasons and our garage is full of stuff, i put two blankets in each of their houses, (which are insulated) and we put a tarp over the top and on 3 sides of the kennel to keep the wind and snow partially out. Im just wondering if theres anything else i can do to keep them warm, like amybe get little dog boots well big dog boots since his feet are the size of horse hooves or like a winter blanket? we have enough room to put the puppy inside but he howls when hes not with our other dog the bully whos name is spike. Any suggestions are welcome. and no its not cruel to let dogs live outside, little tiny dogs yes but dogs that are able to live in conditions like this are good we had a golden retriever who would lay out in the snow and sleep but anywho any suggestions are welcome thanks

I was wondering how to get my dog to bark at unwanted strangers in our yard. We currently have a bullmastiff/pitbull dog by our garage and we want him to alert us when someone is not wanted in our yard like messing with our expensive cars or letting our other dogs out. Recently someone has cut open our dogs cage and let our other three dogs out. One is still missing, but the other two stuck around. We don't want someone breaking into our house, we currently don't have a privacy fence yet but our mastiff/pitbull is in front of the garage and the other three were in the back in pens. So I'd like to teach Bruiser how to bark at someone - not bite or attack anyone just to kind of intimidate them a bit to let them rethink what they are doing- by no means i want to turn our dog mean to other people or teach him to bite i just want him to let us know - we don't want this person who did this to break into our house as we have a small child. any suggestions let me know.

I've been with my bf/fiance for two years now. When we first started dating, he asked me to marry him a few months after we started dating. Well since then I was on birth control, which didnt work and now we have a baby. We still arent married, he keeps making up excuses as to why we arent, like he's waiting until our little girl can walk (she just turned a year) or utnil she can talk or sometimes he doesnt even give me a reason. We have alot of fights, and when he comes home from work he takes out his frustration on me. He says he loves me but sometimes i wonder. I am unhappy, our relationship isnt like what it used to be. Since I got pregnant I gained alot of weight and i havent been able to get it back off. when we fight he also makes fun of my weight and says very hurtful things like that im a lazy piece of ****. We never go on dates anymore or show public affection like holding my hand or even walking next to me. what should I do? leave or stay?
