Would a stronger dose of Lexapro work better?
I have been taking 20 mg/day of Lexapro since October 2010. Besides the side effects, It has really helped with my depression and GAD. But with in the last week or so I have began to start feeling blah again, not to the point I was before I got the prescription but I can tell it is not working like it was before. I went to my doc and told her I didnt feel like it was working anymore and that it was kind of expensive for a poor college student. She gave me a script for celexa but said it was an equal dose to the lexapro. So I am wondering if the dose of lexapro I am taking can be upped some and if the amount of celexa I was give, 40 mg/day, will help me at all or if it needs to be more too. I know I obviously need to speak with my doc, but I did and do not feel she fully understood what I was saying or how I am feeling.
1 AnswerMental Health1 decade agoHow to get help for threatening Suicied?
A friend of mine and his wife have been haveing some pretty bad problems. He claims they started when she went off her antidepresants when she got pregnant. She has had the baby and started the depo shot but has not started on her antidepresants. Her doc told her from the begining that she would be at a high risk of having post pardom depression but to her husbands knowledge has not been prescribed any anti depressants. well everything just keeps getting worse. She screams, yells, and crys all the time. she claims she feels to guilty to go drop the baby off at the sitter when she has a weekday off work but then tells him he is having to much fun becasue he takes that opportunity. she has even come snatch the kid from him when he is trying to give her a brake. Ok the last week she has started threatening suicide. He trys to talk to her but in her eyes he is wrong. How can he get her some help when she is unwilling to get it and says its all his fault?
