2 AnswersInvesting8 years agoWhy is the value of my dollar different in the United States than in mexico?
Example: I go to the store in the u.s. and buy a pizza for 20 bucks, I go to Mexico and its 10 bucks for the same pizza? Why? It makes more sense that the price should be the same every country given currencies can be converted. It's not like if a country's doing bad they financially they lower prices, they hire them!

3 AnswersInvesting8 years agoHow does/ can a stock move up in price without increased volume?
I have been reading some books about the stock market and it seems like they suggest that it does happen but i have yet to find an explanation why. I'll quote my Understanding Stocks book by Michael Sincere:" Many short term traders like to buy stocks that are trending higher. Just as in a downtrend, traders will look at volume to determine if a stock is a good buy. After all if a stock is moving higher on increasing volume, a lot of people are buying it." I thought this is how it absolutely has to go: more people buy the stock which increases the volume, and obviously increasing the price from the more buyers.
5 AnswersInvesting8 years agoWhy is the value of consumer products different among different countries?
Im learning about the value of the dollar in relation to other countries, and i thought of something that baffles me. If the value of the dollar is convertable within each country, why is it then, that i can pay (for example) 60 dollars for nike shoes in the us but go to mexico and pay 40 dollars. If the value of my 60 dollars is converted into mexican dollars, it should be 158(i have no idea this is for example) mexican dollars which equals 60 us dollars but this is not the case? after reading my question, i think the better question to ask that im getting at is why is the value of consumer products different amungst countries.
1 AnswerCorporations8 years agoWhy does the price of the stock have to go up?
Why does it have to go up? This might sound very obvious, and it might be if you know the answer, but i don't. I can't see stocks, as i can see gasoline, and the amount of gas is limited, therefore when there's an increased demand for it, the price goes up. I can see gas, it is real and palpable (at your own risk). But i cant see stocks, therefore its hard to see a limit on the number of them. is there a limited number of stocks? If there is why? If your about to say the limit depends on the number bought then who sold those shares, and then why is there an imbalance of buyers to sellers?
5 AnswersInvesting8 years agoIs the supply of stocks limited for a company?
Why should supply and demand relate in stocks? it doesnt seem like the number of shares is limited, and the demand for the shares single handedly can't cause the price to rise if the supply is unlimited. So what makes the supply of shares outstanding limited?
