  • Can I use Romano cheese for pesto sauce?

Every recipe that I have seen for pesto sauce calls for Parmesan cheese. Do you think it will come out alright if I substitute Romano cheese for Parmesan?

  • My chex mix is too sticky!?

I have made an asian chex mix (first time I have ever tried chex mix) following a specific recipe. I actually doubled the recipe, and doubled ALL quantities...not just the amount of cereal; I doubled the butter, oil, soy sauce, etc. as well. While baking, I spread amongst two large trays, and baked at the suggested temperature for about 1hour 40minutes, stirring often. The recipe suggested baking 1-2 hours. So, when it came out and cooled down, everything was kinda sticking together; and even when I went to put it into containers, it was stuck together, almost like a "brittle", rather then everything being shaken apart.

Any ideas, on what I might be able to do to correct this? Is it too late...did I just put too much of the liquid ingredients in?

  • How long do I have to wait before I can submerge my tattoo?

The aftercare instructions for my new tattoo indicated that for a while I should not submerge that area of my body in water, and only get it wet indirectly. How long do I have to wait before I can submerge that part of my body in water, and not warry about it adversely affecting my tattoo?

  • How can I get my pregnant co-worker to shut the heck up?

I have a co-worker who just found out that she is pregnant about three weeks ago, and she won't shut up about it! First of all, she is probably the least equipped person that I could ever think of to have a child, and now all she can talk about is what she can or can't eat, that she's gonna get sick, and not be able to use medicine, and how her boyfriend is so terrible, and how its not gonna work when they have a child. She is just super over-reacting about everything possible, and her mouth moves a thousand miles an hour, and I just want to stab myself in the eye because I can't stand it anymore...what can I do?

There doesn't appear to be any sort of expiration date on my bottle of sunscreen. Does it eventually go bad, or is it just good forever?

  • Know where to get a large birthday yard sign?

I have seen alot of these large yard signs in my area, usually with some sort of children's cartoon character celebrating a birthday. Does anyone know where/how I can locate a company that does this service, and where they operate, so I can find one in the area where I'd like to have a sign displayed?

What, if any, difference is there between anise and fennel, as it relates to cooking. If anybody can provide a link that will show pictures of the two plants so I can tell the difference, that would be great...

  • What should I do with a dying guinea pig?

I have a 6 yr. 3 mo. old guinea pig that seems to be dying. He is very lethergic (not eating/drinking much, etc.). I realize that his time has probably come given the age. He doesn't seem to be in any pain. Should I just let him go on his own, or take him to a vet to be euthanized?
