  • Can you recommend a list of books?

I'm looking for a list of books that show literary devices like theme, symbolism, foreshadowing, etc. I need them to be good for a seventh grader.

    Thanks..

  • I identify as Bi but I can't get women to notice me?

    Any ideas?

The details: I'm 23. I have had more serious relationships with women then with men, but they have always been "straight girls" who didn't id as bi or gay and just kinda found themselves in bed with me. Over and over again. I prefer women to men, but I usually end up with men because I am a pretty sexual person and it's hard for me to meet/ pick up other women.

I'm considered pretty attractive, but in the conventional sense- 5'8, 120 pounds, perfect B cups. I run and I play rugby so I'm pretty muscular if a bit thin. I've heard that sometimes women prefer other women who are shorter and curvier.

I don't think it's a personality thing because I can always make women crack up and I find myself in a lot of spontaneous hour-long conversations. But then.... nothing.

    Advice??

    Thanks!

  • Guys- My boyfriend said "I love you"?

And I'm not ready to say it back. So I didn't, and now I feel like a b***h. How can I show him that I care about him a lot and make him feel better without saying those three little words?

We've only been dating for three months! (and we're in our 20s, just so you know...)

  • Name for photography blog?

My friend and I, who live and work in different cities, want to create a photography blog to keep in touch. It's going to be artsy pictures and captions about our life. Any ideas for a good name?

  • Women- what do you think of IUDs?

I'm currently on the Nuvaring, which I LOVE (hated the pill), but I'm going back to my OBGYN this weekend and I'm thinking about switching over to an IUD. Do you have any advice? I've done my research, so I know how safe and effective it is, but I would love to hear some first hands accounts of how people who have tried this form of birth control feel about it.

    Thanks!

  • I want to go vegetarian, but I have a problem staying full.?

I'm a runner with a naturally high metabolism. I want to transition from just eating fish to going vegetarian, possibly ultimatly vegan, but I have a problem staying full. I find that I have to eat about 3 meatless meals for every 2 meals with meat in them to stay full and have enough energy to get through the day. And, while I acknowledge that it's better to eat many smaller meals, I don't really have the time to cook for myself (or even eat) five times a day.

Does anyone else have this problem? Are there any vegetarian or vegan meals that are very filling/ high in calories that I may be missing out on?

    Thanks!

  • If you are in an "exclusive relationship" with someone...?

Does that mean they're your boyfriend??

(You're in your 20s, by the way... this isn't 7th grade...)

Or does it just mean that you're not sleeping with/ making out with/ dating other people?

  • Friends with benefits- does he want more?

I started hooking up with a good friend two months ago, after I broke up with my boyfriend of 3 years. At first we just hooked up one night on the weekends, then two nights, then during the week too... at first just once, then a few times. We don't go out on dates, but we talk before & after, sometimes for hours, and we hang out a lot with mutual friends. Recently he has started putting his arm around me/ holding my hand in front of his boys, which is nice but confusing because I'm friends with them too.

Last night we were texting about it because I told him I was confused. At first he said, "I don't know if I'm ready to take this to the next level" but at the end of the conversation, like 20 minutes after I sent the last text, he said "You know things have been going so well, I’m open to hanging out more and doing fun stuff. I just want some reassurance that’s what you want to do."

What's his deal? Why would he say both things in the same conversation? What should I do?

  • How can I get a better body?

Ok, so I'm one of those fat skinny people. I weigh about 130 at 5'8" (size 4) and I'm pretty well proportioned. I basically eat whatever I want and don't worry about gaining weight-- a croissant with egg & cheese for breakfast, a burger for lunch, and a 6 pack of good beer with dinner.

I look pretty ok with my clothes off, but I want to look phoenominal. I really don't like to exercise so I want to find something that's either very fun or very efficient. I'm looking to get a really tight butt, lose some flab on my arms, and make my stomach completely flat. What kinds of diet/ exercise changes should I make? I have a good metabolism, so I don't need anything drastic or radical... just general advice.

    Thanks in advance!

  • What can I do to get a great butt?

I'm pretty skinny. When I say "great" i mean tight and muscular and maybe a little bit on the big side. I look great from the front but I want to work on my rear view too.

  • Does size matter? How important is sex in a relationship?

Not to be crude, but.... how much does size matter when you're sleeping with someone? I like this guy but he's smaller than people that I have been with in the past. My friends say that he will treat me wonderfully, etc and that sex isn't that important. I feel that sex IS that important.

Do you think that if i sleep with him it won't be as much of a deal as I think? Does anyone have any pointers?

    Thanks!!!

  • Who would you choose?

The one who is nice, and there for you, and cute, or the one that you really really want who's kind of a jerk?

    Why?

    10 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade ago
  • Which is better- Cute guy, sexy guy? Nice guy, jerk?

I've been hanging out with two boys for awhile now and I made out with both. The one that I was initially attracted to is kind of a jerk (albeit a very good looking one) and is definatly hooking up with more girls than just me. He isn't very smart either, but he is incredibly confident in himself which I find sexy. I know he thinks that I'm hot, but beside that I don't really have a clue.

The other boy is a little bit of a daydreamer. He's cute, he's sweet, and I know that he likes me. He doesn't have the same magnetic pull and I wasn't that attracted to him to being with, but I love being around him and would much rather wake up next to him than the hot jerky guy (although I would rather have the hot jerky guy in my bed the night before ;).

Oh, and the two of them are friends, so as much as I would like to I can't really pursue both.

So my question is-- girls, which guy would you go for? Guys, what's your advice? Is it possible to become more attracted to a person over time? Can you control who you want or try to talk yourself into something or is it just a lost cause?

  • Why is there a double standard?

Why is it that when a woman does something like hook up with two guys who are friends at the same time, she looks like a s**t and is shunned? Whereas, if a man did the same thing, his buddies would commend him for being such a player?

  • Guys- should I call him? Easy ten points!?

I hooked up with this guy a week ago and we both had a good time. I slept over at his place, we cuddled, and he made me breakfast. I'm ok friends with him, but I'm really good friends with his roommate. His roommate and I have been talking but I haven't been talking with the guy I hooked up with.

Before we hooked up he was always staring at me, etc. Also, while we were making out I was like "is this going to be awkward" and he said "I'm the most awkward person on earth."

I don't want to seem desperate but I want to see him again and I feel lame always texting his roommate. Should I call? I have his number, he doesn't have mine.
