  • What to cut and how.....?

I notice a lot of talk about the tea party movement; the movement seems to embrace fiscal conservatism which I believe is a good thing. My question is how or what types of cuts exactly are acceptable and is cutting spending enough, or would an increase in taxes also be needed if the revenues were used to pay down the debt? Military and Medicare are the majority of the federal budget Social Security also but not to the same degree. So it’s pretty much a given that these areas would need to be cut deeply, correct? What are your thoughts?

  • How many Czars did President Bush have?

Many say that Obama may have more than 30.

    President Bush had 47.

Fox News personalities, including O'Reilly Factor guest-host Laura Ingraham, have attacked President Obama for appointing "czars" -- a term the channel uses to refer to any White House official tasked to advise the president on a specific issue, regardless of whether the position is subject to Senate confirmation -- with Fox News host Gretchen Carlson singling out the appointment of a "border czar" for criticism. However, during the Bush administration, Fox's Bill O'Reilly called for the appointment of an "immigration czar," as well as a "charity czar" and a "disaster relief victims family czar."

  • Is Alaska the most socialist state in America?

It’s quite ironic for McCain and Palin to go around claiming that Obama is a socialist for “spreading the wealth.” But think about this for a second, is there another state in the union that “spreads the wealth” like Alaska does? Does not every single Alaskan get money from the state? Talk about a welfare, communist state, Alaska is it. Alaska's the most socialist state in the union, redistributing oil producers' income to its citizens -- that is, the state took oil profits, imposed a tax redistributed it among Alaskans, $3200 for every man, woman and child in Alaska, or $22,000 for a family of seven like Palin's. The Alaskan "dividend fund" is nothing more than a tax on oil paid by you and me every time we fill our gas tanks, redistributed to Alaskan citizens; in addition to the $1.89 they suck out of the feds for every $1 they pay in.

Alaska's the biggest tax pig in the country -- or, as the rightwing noise machine would say, the most Socialist -- and Sarah Palin's it's biggest welfare queen.

  • Does John McCain believe that it's ok to support domestic terrorism as long as it furthers his personal agenda?

McCain sought to limit the government’s ability to punish violent anti-choice fanatics by:

McCain voted in 1993 and 1994 against making bombings, arson and blockades at abortion clinics, and shootings and threats of violence against doctors and nurses who perform abortions” federal crimes.

McCain voted to allow perpetrators of violence or harassment at reproductive health clinics to avoid paying the fines assessed against them for their illegal acts by declaring bankruptcy.

  • Do we finally have the truth about why McCain picked Palin as a running mate?

I have to admit that I had my suspicions before but I’m glad that Palin finally confirmed that yes McCain is tapping her.

  • After this debate will the republicans need to find photos of Obama?

defecating on the American flag while French kissing Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in order to win?

    14 AnswersElections1 decade ago
  • Is it time for the republicans to once again try to incite fear and prejudice?

With McCain losing ground steadily I’m sure it won’t be long before we see continuous loops of Reverend Wright and Moses parting the red sea. Maybe they will throw in a picture of the twin towers burning to add a patriotic touch.

  • Was Obama right all along about the surge not working?

A new study out shows that massive ethnic cleansing that preceded the surge was likely the key factor for the decline in sectarian violence rather than the troop increase.

  • Do you think Palin would make me Secretary Of The Treasury ?

I liked to play monopoly as a child so that should make me qualified.

  • Does a love of cows make you qualified for the top position in Alaskas State Division of Agriculture?

When there was a vacancy at the top of the Alaska State Division of Agriculture, she appointed a high school classmate, Franci Havemeister, to the $95,000-a-year directorship. A former real estate agent, Ms. Havemeister cited her childhood love of cows as one of her qualifications for running the roughly $2 million agency.

Ms. Havemeister was one of at least five schoolmates Ms. Palin hired, often at salaries far exceeding their private sector wages.

  • Is this proof that Palin will have no moral problem with running a slanderous campaign?

An Anchorage judge three years ago warned Sarah Palin and members of her family to stop "disparaging" the reputation of Alaska State Trooper Michael Wooten, who at the time was undergoing a bitter separation and divorce from Palin's sister Molly.

  • why is it that John McCain continues to use slander and misinformation?

It is truly shameful and disingenuous to the American people. We deserve better he should address the issues so Americans can decide what policies are best. But I guess if he thought Americans would embrace his policies that is what he would be doing. Even he knows his chances are better trying discredit or slander Obama rather than how his potential presidency would address the real needs of Americans.

little little McCain is able to motivate his own base.

I mean really the guy could barely fill a church basement with supporters before Palin came along. what happens when the hype is gone especially after she has to answer some real questions.
