Livvy the Terrible
(In case you're wondering about the strange and rather self-insulting username, it was my brother's creation - after Ivan the Terrible - though why I used it, I don't even know.)
What's Cornish for "heart"?
For a book I'm writing, in case you were wondering.
Please and thank you. :)
3 AnswersLanguages1 decade agoWhat are your favorite hobbies?
I asked a question about ideas for creative hobbies in the hobbies & crafts section, but since it's not doing so well so far, I thought I'd try this instead. This is a more fun one, anyway. :)
14 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoIdeas for creative hobbies?
Okay, so I have been bored nearly out of my mind lately. I guess you could say I kind of collect hobbies, which would make you think I've always got something to do - well, I don't. Right now, I have a writer's block from hell, no good books to read, not enough ingredients in the kitchen to cook/bake anything good, and no inspiration to draw/paint; also, dance classes are out for the summer and my brother has stolen my guitar - so that leaves me with pretty much nothing to do for the time being (well, besides summer schoolwork...). I like to do pretty much anything creative; do you have any ideas for new hobbies or projects that I could easily and inexpensively start now to keep me busy?
2 AnswersHobbies & Crafts1 decade agoHow would you say "keeper of the dead" or "death keeper" in Latin?
It would be nice to know the plural, too, and if there would be a different way to say a female keeper and a male keeper.
And it's for a book that I'm writing, in case you're wondering. :)

Or Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa, or whatever holiday you celebrate this time of year... :)
5 AnswersChristmas1 decade agoProblems with laptop cord/power pack . . . ?
I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop computer, and back in August the cord/power pack just sort of stopped working; it would stop charging, but if I moved it around some, it might connect again, but it would disconnect if you moved it at all. So I got a new one, not the same, but one that was /supposed/ to be better ... but it isn't. Now, it's started doing the same thing, and I really don't want to have to buy another new one. I've also seen some people say on the Internet that it's a problem with the motherboard (system board), but if that's so, then why would the new have been working right for this long in the first place?
Somebody please help me?
Thanks.

9 AnswersClassical1 decade agoWhere'd Halloween go?
Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that the usual Halloween hype has been a bit tepid this year - like, for example, sometimes they even start showing horror movies on TV in the beginning of October, but I haven't seen very many at all on yet. And my brother's mentioned that they don't even have much going on on children's TV channels like Nickelodeon and the Disney Channel. It's sort of sad, don't you think?

I've only taken two ballet classes so far, and I think I'm doing pretty well with everything else, but I just can't seem to get those two right. Could somebody please help me with them?
6 AnswersDancing1 decade agoDoes anyone know what this book is?
I saw this book in Borders once that I was thinking of reading, but I can't remember what it's called now. All I really remember is that it was about a ghost and it had a very unusual cover; it was hardcover, all black with some pink, with a sort of three-dimensional picture on the front. It was kind of like a cut-out of a Gothic-looking girl (I think she was Gothic-looking) in a coffin. And it was young adult, fantasy (obviously). Sorry, I know it's not much to go off of, but I just can't remember anything else about it.
Please and thank you.
3 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoGood, scary books for teens?
I'm looking for stuff preferably about vampires, werewolves, or ghosts. And adult is fine, too, if the content isn't really inappropriate.
Here's the stuff I've already read in that genre...
Tantalize by Cynthia Leitich Smith
Vampire Academy (and Frostbite) by Richelle Mead
The Summoning by Kelley Armstrong
Dead Until Dark (can't remember who wrote it)
Kitty Norville Series by Carrie Vaughn
Morganville Vampire Series by Rachel Caine
Evernight by Claudia Gray
Thanks.

I found it on a google images search, and I loved it, but I can't figure out who it's by; I can't quite read the name on it.
Thanks.

I'm looking for a weird/unique name for a character in a book. (In case you want to know what she looks like, she has wavy blond hair and hazel eyes- and she's a werewolf ... )
Any ideas?
