  • Am I being unreasonable for feeling the way I do?

    My wife's side of the family is having their annual Family Reunion. I usually have an alright time because it is a picnic. You know there will be great food and it is nice to see people that I have not seen in a long time.

    My wife has five sisters. This year our niece is coming to visit from Spain. Since she is not in town very often her mom has decided to give her a baby shower at the reunion.

    I am a guy and had hopes of never, ever attending a baby shower. It would not be so bad if Her mother planed to have the shower, say from Noon til 2:00 and the reunion would follow. I think she is taking advantage of the situation. It just sounds like a lousy time if it is all about the shower.

    I was not going to announce my feelings to everyone, just my wife. She got all bent out of shape at me and said: It is always about me.
