  • .41 magnum?

Just a general question, I am just curious what peoples opinions are on the .41 magnum? It isn't one of the "main stream" revolver rounds many people think of such as .357 and .44 and falls in the middle in terms of power. I have shot all three and like them all. I was in Cabelas and there was a brand, that I don't remember, that was over $60.00 a box! Write your opinions.

    P.S. No sarcastic comments please!

  • New York pistol permit question?

I live in Albany, NY and we are applying for our pistol permit. My question is are you supposed to have your pictures for the form done by the sheriff or by the post office where you get your passport done? Can you take them yourself even? Please if you aren't familiar with New York laws, then please don't answer. I am sure everyone knows that New York isn't the most friendly state for guns! And any wrong information could jeopardize the already long process we have been through. Thanks!

  • Airline occupancy on flights?

How do the airlines determine by occupancy if a particular flight is worth having and determining the size of the plane they should utilize for a flight? I know that the more people the better but with competition, there is no way the airlines could fill a 747 or A380 on each and every flight.

  • New York gun law question?

I live in New York and i am sure you know about the Safe Act. I am going up to Maine this weekend and I am going to look around for a M1 Garand, I am looking out of state because anything semi-automatic is near impossible to find in this state. If I find one and buy it, under the new law will it be considered an "assault rifle" and illegal or is it legal? I know a M1 isn't an assault rifle but anything semi-automatic in this state is called an assault rifle I seems.

  • Beagle behavior question?

My seven year old female beagle has been acting different than usual. The last few months after we clean up from dinner she will start to pant like it is real warm and the air conditioner is at 68 degrees so it isn't warm. And I take her out after dinner so she isn't uncomfortable. She use to just lay down and go to sleep but now like I said she will pant like it is 100 degrees and stare at you. I let her come up by me and she wags her tale like she is happy. She then continues to pant and she jumps right down. After she jumps down, she will continue to pant and stare at me. I live in New York so we don't get extreme storms. I also live in a quiet neighborhood so there is no loud people to make her nervous. This may seem like a stupid question but she has never acted like this before so I am just confused.

  • Airline pilot qualifications?

  • Southwest Airlines early bird check-in?

Their website describes the whole thing in a very confusing way. When you buy the early bird tickets I believe you are checked-in automatically and you print them out the normal 24 hours ahead of your flight. If you are automatically checks you in, can you see your boarding card position before the time you are allowed to print them?

  • New York Gun Laws Question?

I live in New York and I am sure everyone heard about our new stupid laws. Anyway, I was curious with this new ban if you can buy AR-15's or any "assault rifle" now. I know anything before the ban went into effect is legal. I am not looking to buy one, I am just curious.

  • Classic car engine question?

I was looking at muscle cars online and noticed that all the motors are given "numbers" for example, a dodge charger had a 440, a mustang had a 289, what does those numbers mean?

  • Lever gun Ammo question?

I am thinking about a lever gun in .44 mag or .357. I live in New York and I think every time you by handgun ammo you need to show your permit. If I get this will I be able to by ammo because I don't have a handgun permit.

  • Pistol permit question?

My father went down to the county building to get the form to apply for a pistol permit. We went to fill it out and we saw on the top of the paper it said "application for license as gunsmith." What we want to know is if the people gave us the right form or not. By the way I live in Albany county in New York so those who live here know how tough it is to get a permit here.

  • 7mm mauser accuracy question?

I was at the range yesterday checking out the rifle since I just bought it. I set a target at 50 yards to get a feel for it and out of the 50 shots fired I hit the target only 3 times. I am usually a good shot so I don't think it was me. I had the sites set on the lowest setting and I fired 20 shots aiming at the bullseye and missed all of them. I tried firing about a foot lower and got the three hits. Any suggestions?

  • Is it really worth becoming a commercial pilot ?

If a retired or currently employed commercial pilot was to go up to someone that wants to be a commercial pilot would they ever recommend it? I am curious because I know how the pay isn't what it's made out to be and the hours can be brutal.
