I currently have a car that avgs 25mpg. Buying a new car that avgs 36mpg. Gas is $4 a gallon where I'm at. If I'm driving 350 miles a week, what is my gas savings between the cars?

Car A (25mpg) has a 14 gallon gas tank.

Car B (36mpg) has a 16 gallon gas tank.

How do I figure out what my savings will be, or how many more miles I will get with the new car??

Due to a glitch, as friend of the court says, I have been OVER paid in child support for over 2 years, in the amount of $512. I was getting refund checks for awhile then they suddenly stopped. I called in inquire about what was going on and why I stopped receiving refund checks. They said I no longer have a credit balance and that my remaining amount was 'absorbed into the system'! No explanation to what that exactly meant, it is just literally poof, gone. So money that they incorrectly took from my paychecks, is gone and no one knows where. My daughters mom never received it. I asked many many times why they can't just send it back to me lump sum and they said it has to be paid back weekly since thats when I am paid. I thought that was BS but basically said whatever to it.

Can I sue Friend of the Court in small claims court or get an attorney involved to recover my money they say is just 'gone'??

What recourse do I have? Can anything be done?

I am a wedding photographer in southeast Michigan. About 2 1/2 yrs ago I did a major overhaul of my pkgs. With the economy going down and people not having lots of money to budget for weddings I lowered my prices significantly. It's now time for another refresh. I'm not raising prices but i would like to actually add 2 more pkgs. So I would now have 6 to offer. 1 pkg I would like to offer is a bare minimum pkg for the budget conscience/money limits customers who still want their wedding captured. It would be photography all day for ceremony and reception. No time limit, no limit on how many pics I take. The difference in this pkg from my others is that they would not get any physical proofs and they would only be available to view online. They would have the option to buy any ala carte items though.

Would this be a good pkg option to offer?? Any comments/ideas or suggestions?

The 2nd pkg i would also like to add also ia for the budget conscience weddings but it would be a build/customize your own pkg. A name your price and build it yourself type pkg. I would list everything available to put into pkgs and they can design it themselves. If they have a certain budget that would help them get exactly what they want for the price they want to pay.

Any ideas/suggestions or comments on this??

Give me some feedback and let me know if they are pkgs that would catch your eye and make it one of the first photographers you would want to call.

I have a couch and dining room table set from rent-a-center. My parents have a couch they are getting rid of and I plan on taking it. The couch will be returned. I was told that when I return the couch any money I have paid on it, stays in my account and if in the future I decide to get something else from them they apply that money to that item and do a new contract. I tried asking the the employee if I could just have the money applied to the dining room table set since I will be keeping that. And if the money is applied to the table then it will be paid off. He didn't seem like he either knew what I was trying to say or was trying to change the subject when he realized what I was asking to do. Obviously by pushing to keep the money in the acct will hopefully draw me to come back to them

I live in southeast michigan, ann arbor area. I have a company that maintains fertilizer and weed control for 7 applications per season. They told me it made no difference if my grass was cut shorter or higher for the winter months. my neighbor also has a company that does his lawn fertilizer and they told him to cut it short for the winter time because that prevents the grass from getting matted down and 'snow mold'. talking with my dad, he does the complete opposite. he does a last cut early/mid oct after the last application of fertilizer and weed control are down and then lets it just grow from there. he says that helps it come back stronger, better and quicker in the spring and helps to maintain a strong root system.

so my question is....with hearing 3 different approaches to this, is any certain one better/worse?

i spend good money on a sprinkler system this year, hiring a company to do the fertilizer and weed control and seeding my lawn. previous homeoweners had no care in the world about lawn care/landscaping etc. so i want to make sure all my hard work and money during this season isnt going to come up bad next year.

I have 50/50 custody of my daughter. I pay $25 a month for child support to her mother. I live in michigan, in livingston county. I have had a few problems with friend of the court before and took many many months to get it figured out. I, yet again, have another problem. As friend of the court states, there was a 'computer glitch' and somehow they took a portion of my tax refund. well, i was not behind in payments (never have been) so it created a credit on my acct of $615. I rec'd a letter from the IRS that FOC had taken a portion of my money and applied it to my child support. I never had any letters from FOC regarding this. I called my case worker to find out what was going on. after she looked into it she determined that it was a 'computer glitch'. I asked her how it happend and how I get my money back and she stated it would be 'refunded' to me on a monthly basis. After asking why that is and how it works she says they will continue to collect the $25 a month through my paycheck/employer and at the end of the month they will refund me $12.50 of it using the credit. I about lost it when I heard that, and then she tells me that whatever part of the credit is still in my acct after 12 months will be zero'd out!! THEN I lost it.....but she says thats normal policy for dealing with credits on accounts. Asking where the money goes after 12 months, she says it is just 'absorbed into the system'!!

I only get the run around my FOC now. I have went to my case workers supervisor to get answers and have got no with that.

I live in michigan and have filed bankruptcy. Due to my employer closing some locations i lost my job about 5 months ago, with that i lost my health insurance. I had a major medical emergency that came up and have hospital/doctor bills totaling about $65,000, so I was left with no other choice. I have a daughter and have 50/50 custody w/ her mother. We were never married, never had any joint accounts together, no house together etc etc. I pay $25 a month child support and am currently overpaid on my child support by over $600 due to a "computer glitch" as friend of the court calls it. I know child support does not get put into bankruptcy. My lawyer called me today and said he was finalizing everything and that he needed my ex's address because he has to notify her that I filed bankruptcy. I questioned as to why she had to be notified and he said he was doing it just to be on the safe side. on the safe side of WHAT?? as I stated, we had nothing together and this bankruptcy has nothing to do with her. Why would she have to be notified?? I do not want her to know that i am doing this and its none of her business of whats going on in my life. Is it a law in michigan that she has to be notified or if i do provide her address to the lawyer can i request that no information be given to her??

My daughters mom and myself alternate years that we claim her on our taxes. (we are not together) For 2009 she did not work at all, nothing. She will have no W2. This is her turn to claim our daughter on her taxes, but with no income and no taxes withheld from her, how would that work? Would I be able to claim her since I do work and had income?

my daughter is alittle over 3 yrs old. Anytime she is asked to do something, she just cries. Its nap time or time for bed at night, she takes off crying and screaming to her room. Ask her to clear her plate and put it in the sink, she cries. Tell her she put her shoes on the wrong feet, she cries. She cries about almost anything when you tell her no, or not to do something etc etc. I realize alot may have to do with the age and it just is what it is. I have a 7yr old daughter who was never ever like this. But its continuous and all the time. we have tried telling her at the times when shes just crying to cry that crying it not allowed in the house, doesnt seem to work. I read something where parents would put a bar of soap in the childs mouth if they cried at times when they shouldnt and were just crying to cry. anyone have any advice, or something new/different i should try. maybe she will just out grow it, i dont know. thanks

I got married last year. I was laid off at the very end of 2008. the entire year of 2009 I collected unemployment and that was my only income. my wife worked. We have no kids to claim and dont really have much as far as deductions are concerned. What would be the best way for us to file? Married but seperate, married or jointly, whatever it is called? We both have done our taxes ourselves in the past and have never used anything like H&R Block or any service like that. would it be best just to do them ourselves and see which way comes out better and then file it that way?

I am wondering what a good website is to create my own web page and also make my own web address? I make and sell things at farmers markets and I have had customers ask if I have a website where I sell my items also. I don't need anything big and fancy or elaborate. Just something to place photos of my items and put my contact info. I also want to be able to make the website address the name of my business....any good free ones out there? Searched google but not sure if any certain ones are better or if some are bad. Thanks for the help.
