Today I went in to a (privately owned) PC sales/repair shop and wanted to buy 4gigs of Corsair "Dominator" PC8500 1066MHZ for my personally custom built PC which has:Vista Ultimate 64 bit OS, an Intel Q9300 quad core processor, Gigabyte P35-DS4 MoBo w/(a native 1066 FSB), nVidia 8800 GTS 512MB video card, & a current 4gigs of Kingston 667 MHZ RAM. This guy said that, "there is NO RAM that operates over 800 MHZ even though some modules claim they do! Like the RAM I wanted to buy from Corsair. Please I need FACTS, not guessing or "I thought" Is this guy for real?

Ok, I built my own PC but used my old HP pavilion Media centers P. D - dual core 2.8 GHZ processor w/ Viiv technology. It works decent but finally bought an Intel duo core Quad 9300 (which hasn't arrived yet) If you have a Quad and can tell me what kind of performance increase I can expect ie. how fast screens load, ect. I'd appreciate it. Oh I have a Gigabyte P35-DS4 MoBo which is a fairly high rated board that'll support anything I can throw in it including crossfire (Dual video cards)

I'm her soon to be step father and feel its wrong. When I expressed my opion to my fiance' she got irrate with me and wanted to break it off. She says she's ok with it and its her house ect. This guy doesn't have a car, smokes weed, and and has constant on again off again fights with the daughter. In my opinion he is not right for her but the daughter obviously is in love/infatuation with him and there are some other issues which contribute to me and my fiance's disagreements. I feel like I don't have any say in her life or unable to say how I feel because it'll rock the boat too much and one of us will have to bail ship! Am I wrong? what can/should I do?HELP!!!!

I was told when surfing the net people can track you and ping your IP address which could allow them to discover your true address (home), is this true? If so, what software can prevent ANYONE from tracking/finding my IP address?

I now have an Nvidia 8500 GT 512mb DDR2 PCI-E video card. I want to upgrade to the 8600 GT but I don't know which 8600 is better for performance. I know 512mb is more memory than 256mb but the 512 is DDR2 and the 256 is DDR3. Which one is the better of the two?
