Any dog trainers here?
I'm an American in South Africa. I recently acquired a 14 month old Boerboel. He lived at the breeders kennel his whole life until I "rescued" him. At the breeders place he show a lot of energy and even aggression towards other male dogs. Since coming to my house a month ago, he has been afraid of everything. He has no self confidence. How does one instill confidence in a dog that is reputed to be one of the most confident dogs in the world? At 14 months, he weighs in at 110 lbs. He is a fearsome looking animal but is even afraid of my housekeeper. He runs and hides when anyone comes to my entrance gate. I don't want an attack dog and love his gentle nature. I'd like to keep him that way but I do want a dog with confidence and also to know that when it's time for him to do his job, he will do it. There are burglaries, rapes and murders here on a daily basis. I need him to do what a Boerboel is supposed to do.
1 AnswerDogs9 years agoWhy does Windows Explorer have a default search engine?
I had difficulty downloading some software, one of the hurdles was Google. When I tried to download, I got a pop up from Google stating that an outside program was attempting to change something on my computer. I learned from the message that Google was my "default" search engine. When I clicked the button to allow the change, it gave me two options, I could either keep Google as my default or switch to Yahoo. Unless it's a requirement for the system to run, I don't see that I need either. I'll use whichever search engine I choose at the time. I don't remember assigning my default and furthermore didn't know I needed a default search engine. I use the XP operating system.

3 AnswersPain & Pain Management1 decade agoMust you register as a republican to vote for Ron Paul?
In my home state of North Carolina, I can only vote for the candidate of my party of choice in the preliminary. So, if I am to do my part to assure Dr. Paul is on the primary ballot, I must switch from independent to Republican.

The show was very informative and explained a lot about what is going on in the crazy administration we have now.

5 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoDoes calling the United States the "Homeland" have negative connotations for you?
To me it smacks of fascism. We've always called our country America or the United States, we've never before called it the "Homeland".
8 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoWho will be interested to find out who gave the order to give the order to kill Pat Tillman?
Please, Flamers, don't tell me it was "friendly fire". I was in Vietnam and I know what friendly fire really is and I also know what it means to "Frag" a bad commanding officer. Tillman was a corporal. Enlisted men stick together. Their lives depend on it.
11 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoMy last question was removed also?
Do a google search for keith olbermann + pat tillman. You''ll learn a lot about executive orders and cover ups.
2 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoIs anyone other than me being censored for asking hard questions about Bush?
They removed my last question about Bush's executive order to withhold information about the killing of Pat Tillman. I don't know if this one will make it thru or not.
9 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoWhy does C-Span cover everything Mitt Romney does?
He is being interviewed on CSpan right now and then they're going to cover a "townhall meeting" he's holding tonight.
Has the ruling elite already decided he's going to be our next president?
1 AnswerElections1 decade agoIs everyone as tired as I am of being called a conspiracy nut?
We have a president, by his own admission, doing warrantless wiretaps. We have a president who has issued an executive order to cover up the facts of Pat Tillman's death. That same president, lied to us and the world about Iraq.
If anyone can continue to side with and support our criminal president, they are the conspirators, not me.
President John Kennedy was the first to warn us of people trying to take over our way of life. He used the word conspiracy. JFK was a great man and a great President. I would much sooner trust him than this criminal we have now.
The ones wearing the tinfoil hats are the neocons and Bush supporters! Come on, folks, it's all over the media, in the newspapers and on the internet. Take it off your hats so the truth can get into your head!

I've searched for the location of the internment camps being built by Halliburton and cannot find any information disclosing this information. Mostly, I hit a lot of webpages that have been removed from the internet. Does anyone know where KBR is building the camps? I want to go see them for myself.
