  • Organic chemistry...I need help!?

    Hello all! I'm frustrated over this Organic chemistry, and I'm just on chapter 1. My textbook asks me what the likely formula is for the following molecules:

    a) CH?OH

    b) AlCl?

    c) CF2Cl?

    The question mark is next to the element that is missing the subscript. I must decide what the subscript is. My book doesn't even provide me with a solved practice question. How do I approach this problem, and does anyone know of any good o chem tutorials? It's imperative that I do well in this course.
