  • How come Fernando Rodney has been left off the AL All-Star Team?

He leads the AL is saves with 26, with only 2 blown saves, has a 2.04 ERA, 41 K's to 11 walks. The bottom-line is, he's the AL leader in saves and isn't on the All-Star team at this point. What gives?

  • Besides gay people, who would ever buy a Rudy Gay jersey or T-shirt?

What heterosexual would want to walk around with the name GAY on the back? He should've changed his last name years ago, maybe to Gray.

  • How come the Yankees didn't give Robinson Cano a video tribute?

They gave Hideki Matsui a video tribute when he came back a few years ago. Cano gave the Yankees 9 great years, and helped them win a WS. It wasn't Cano's fault that he left. Who wouldn't leave for 65 million dollars more than the Yankees offer? Every fan that was booing would leave their job for more money.

  • I'm on Donald Sterling's side. First off, it's free speech, secondly, he was entrapped and recorded against?

his will and consent. How come no one's talking about that? What the woman did was illegal. You CAN'T record a private conversation without the other person's consent and then sell it to the media, tmz. That really is illegal. If I was Donald Sterling, I would get my dream team of lawyers and sue the crap out of the NBA for lifetime banishment

  • If the Yankees aren't going to play the great Ichiro, they should do him the honorable thing and trade him?

what do you think? He's 40, but in great shape, and wants to get to 3,000 hits. Let him go.

  • Why do they call a tennis player who wins a match by default, a lucky loser?

Shouldn't they be called a lucky winner?

a lot of these guys have been training now for almost 2 months. I think the regular season should start around now. These are the dog days of Spring Training. It's just too god damn long.

  • Will Roy "Doc" Halladay make the Hall of Fame?

I say, YES. His stats are very similar to Pedro Martinez. Roy is a Hall of Famer. Not a first ballot guy, but I think after 5-10 years on the ballot, he should get in. What do you think?

  • Do you think Jeter cut a deal with the Yankees to announce before this year that it's his?

final year, because that means that more games will be sell outs, and means MORE MONEY for the Yankees, as opposed to Jeter announcing his retirement at the end of the year?

    5 AnswersBaseball7 years ago
  • Was Jeter even on any PED lists? is he getting out before he gets a positive result? Remember,?

Rafael Palmeiro got a positive result in his final season at age 41, after 20 years of being "clean".

    7 AnswersBaseball7 years ago
  • Jeter's lucky that he's even under contract for 12 million for 2014. He can barely run anymore?

and will have a hard time fielding. Sure, he'll be able to hit a little bit, but is he worth 12 million at age 40? NO, he's not. He's only making this announcement because he's a narcissist who wants all of the "parting gifts" like Mariano Rivera got last season. If not, then why didn't he just play out this season and announce his retirement in October or November? It's obvious that he wants the freebees.

  • Derek Jeter is NOT a first ballot Hall of Famer...?

There's nothing about him that screams HALL OF FAME or that he was a great player. He was an above-average fielder and a slightly above average hitter, that benefited from being on great Yankee teams. There's nothing about him that leads me to say that he was one of the game's greats. He was a compiler, even more so than Craig Biggio, who in my mind isn't even a Hall of Famer. Jeter is still under suspicion from me regarding the steroid issue. Who knows if he was juicing during his career. I don't and you don't, only he knows, and no, I won't give him the benefit of the doubt. Why, just because he was "clean cut" looking? So was A-Roid....Jeter shouldn't be a first ballot guy. He'll eventually get in, but in no way, shape or form is he a first ballot Hall of Famer. Like I said, there's nothing about him that jumps off the page and says to me....HALL OF FAMER...what do you think?

  • Lance "Fat Elvis/Puma" Berkman is retiring. Is he a Hall of Famer? I say NO SHOT?

Played during the steroid era, and mostly with the Asteroids, biggio, bagwell....fellow roiders, IMO. No shot. Hall of very good. not the hall of fame. I don't care if he was a switch hitter. so what. what do you think?

  • I feel that Rafael Nadal faked a back injury last night and?

tanked the match against Stan Wawrinka, because he knew he was being outplayed and was probably going to lose. I didn't notice anything physically wrong with him at all in the first set, he was just being schooled by Stan. I think this was a low-class move by Rafa and he should be suspended from tennis, accordingly. He totally screwed up Stan's victory. Stan wasn't able to really celebrate at all, and everyone was puzzled by what they just saw. I ask you this....If Rafa had won the first set and was up 2-0 in the second, would he still have had that "injury" and left the court for 10 minutes? Rafa should be ashamed of himself. He's another in a long line of sore losers in Tennis. This was a total disgrace. What do you think?

  • In my opinion, David Ferrer should be banned from Tennis for one year for assaulting the line?

judge in yesterdays match vs. Berdych. He clearly took his arm and shoved him out of the way...That's assault. You can't put your hand on someone and push them out of the way. This guy is insane, possibly on roids, to play like he does at 31 years of age. The ATP should come down on this jerk big time, with a suspension and fine. What do you think?

  • Why do people assume that Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens were PED free pre-1998 or 1999?

You always hear about Barry and Roger from the talking heads on MLB network, that say that these guys were already Hall of Famers, before they started taking them around the late 90's....My question is, how do we really know that they weren't taking them before that? Just because they said they weren't? Roids have been around since the 60's at least.....Lyle Alzado....Jose Canseco in the 80's, 90's, etc. Why do so many people assume that the steroid era only began in the late 90's? It DIDN'T....
