Roman numeral help (with sesterces!)?
I am trying to understand this number, found in Cicero's Pro Roscio Comoedo. It is translated as 100,000 sesterces, but I'm not sure how to get there from the number. Can someone please assist me?

I know that in myth Peleus was able to hold onto the nymph Thetis and thereby win her for marriage, but Thetis was pretty unwilling. Did she ever love Peleus?
(And I know that she loved her son Achilles very much)

2 AnswersHistory1 decade agoExplain the reasoning behind EA's decision to have demon unbaptized babies in the game Dante's Inferno?
It seems like a very strange decision, seeing as there is nothing even close in the original text, nor does there appear to be any driving motive other than stirring up controversy. Why, in a game that claims to be a reworking of a classic text, is there a need to have this absolutely senseless violence? One can almost justify Dante's battling with the other souls, but how exactly does one justify chopping off babies' heads?
