what to do i am a single mother of a 5 year old and her father has not seen her much in that time and calls when he wants.have not told her who he is she just thinks he is a friend.so in the last few days he has said i have to tell her and if i don't he will just tell her.I talked to her kindy teacher and she said that that is not the right way to do this.my daughter has enough going on at the moment leaving kindy and going to school for visits.And i told him i wanted to talk to a group i volunteer for called strengthening our families and he said i don't want strangers telling me what to do.well i want to do things the right way.they work with families and children.and would know how to handle this better.I don't want my daughter getting hurt.I have not once told him he cant see her and i have always let him call.

I go walking on fridays with a pram walking group and have been told some mothers don't want to go because my daughter is to rough.she has hit two babies in the face.i tell her of for this and tell her she cant do that(she is two)but nothing i do works.my daughter wont listen to me.most of the time i take her home and put her to bed.should i stop going?i don't want her hurting other kids but i like going out and getting some exercise.how do i get my daughter to stop hitting other kids.

was watching a talk show today and there was a girl on there trying to find her baby's father she had named her son after the guy she thought was the father so for eg she called him john jr.Would you do this if you were not sure who the dad was.it turned out he was the father. what if he was not then her child would be named after a man that's not his dad.i think children should have there own names.not have the name pasted down.but that just me.

Why do people give there children names then call them by there nick names?why not just give them the name you are going to shorten the childs name to?I gave my daughter her name and hate it when people say it wrong.I would hate if people shortened it.If I wanted to give her a different name I would have.
