  • basic question on malware?

I have a basic question , why do you have to use so many pograms to remove it? Why does Microssoft not separate IE from the OS that way if IE has infection/Malware the OS is still clean?

Or if firefox has malware you can use Microssoft IE. And if firefox and Microssoft IE has malware the OS is till clean. Why does Microssoft not separate IE from the OS .

And what security layers. I was reading some where that malware can come through a bad active-x or JAVA.

So if the web has a bad active-x or bad JAVA it can come it.Also saying bad HTML code you can get malware.

And some times can put hidden malware in a pop up or picture like JPG.

  • Can some explain some of these terms better?

Quote When atherosclerosis gets bad enough, it can cause blockage of blood flow in arteries. This can hurt whatever the artery brings blood to. The organ or tissue that the blocked artery brought blood to can even die. If the organ or tissue dies, doctors call this an infarction. If it is hurt from low blood flow, but not enough to die, it is called ischemia.

If the artery brought blood to the heart, people can have angina or a heart attack. A heart attack is also called a myocardial infraction. Myocardial means relating to the heart muscle. Infarction means death of a tissue or organ. So a myocardial infarction or heart attack is when blood flow to part of the heart stops. Then that part of the heart dies. Angina is when the blood flow is low but not totally blocked.

If the blocked artery brought blood to the brain, people can have a stroke. If the blocked artery is to the kidneys, it can cause kidney failure. If the blocked artery is to an arm or leg, they may also die. If this happens, the arm or leg may need to be amputated (cut off) if the blood vessel cannot be fixed by doctors. Quote

  • Why is the healthcare cost so high and a shortage of doctors?

Costs are very high because there's little reason for them not to be. Let's say there are two drugs that do essentially the same thing: one works nine times out of ten and costs the uninsured $300; the other works eight times out of ten and costs the uninsured $30. For the insured, both cost the patient $10. It's only natural the more expensive one will be prescribed. That effect permeates the entire health care industry. As long as there is insurance, the marginal cost differences will not have normal economic effects.

  • isolate or synthesize the substance of drug?

Quote Regarding why pharmaceutical companies don't try herbs: They do, actually. Many medications are plant-derived, or chemical analogues of compounds first discovered in plants, animals, and other natural sources. If somebody finds out that some natural substance has some useful effect on the human body, the biomedical researchers go to work, quantifying the effect, figuring out how to isolate or synthesize the substance, and figuring out whether it is safe enough to use.Quote

Can some explain this at a grade 7 level with out the tech words.

And how the pharmaceutical companies work with the drinks ,herbs, trees or plants ?

What happen to some of this? I really do not understand how this all woks or fit in.

Quote Your skin gets wrinkly because the collagen and elastin, fibers that help keep skin firm and "elastic", are produced less and less as you get older. Hence, your skin becomes less firm and less "elastic" forming wrinkles. Quote

  • Radio waves go weaker?

Radio waves do grow weaker traveling through space, but not because they are absorbed by anything

    ______________________________________...

Can some one explain more anout this.

    Quote Rather, they become weaker

because the same amount of electromagnetic energy passes through an imaginary sphere 1 Earth radius across as passes through a concentric sphere 10 Earth radii across. The larger sphere has more surface area (10^2 = 100 times the surface area), but the total amount of radio energy is the same. Since radio waves can't be precisely collimated (aligned in the same direction), there will

always be some spread, and therefore they will always get weaker as 1/R^2, where

R is the distance from the source.

Can some explain the above in more grade 7 level

  • NASA can pick up radio waves how they do that?

I need some information how NASA can pick up radio waves from the moon or Mars.I know there is a delay in communication because radio waves only travel so fast .

And it is my understanding that because space is a vacume the radio wave can go billions or trillions of light years do to the vacume using a 3 watts transmitting power and not despair. I’m not sure how gravity effects radio waves or other stars and planets it may make it weak or some other strange thing .

But a atmospher will make it weak any air or matter will make it weak .But space is a vacume and have no air so it does not make it weak or despair.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Radio waves will travel through space for billions of light years - they only become "weak" because they spread out (just as light does).

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Can you explain the above better and how a good receiver works. So bigger the dish more energy it gets ? And how does this work.

I thought space is a vacuum so the radio waves would not be weak or spread out .

Some one was saying NASA uses low transmitting power why is that and say the key is a good receiver and antenna. How does this work and what is going on?

  • How does induction work ?

How does induction work.We know generators in power stations create electricity using magnetism. We know where there is a electric current there is a magnetic field. We know turning a magnetic on and off will create electricity but a magnetic stationary will not.

Does the magnetic have to move ? We know the coil the more coils the stronger the magnetic field but what really is the coil use for.

I seem to be having a problems understanding how induction works and the relationship of electricity and magnetism.
