  • What are my friend's chances of going to graduate school?

I have a friend who graduated with an overall GPA 2.97 and has 186 credits which is 60 credits over the 120 credit requirement to graduate. He is a member of the National History Honors Society and has a 3.7 GPA in his history major. He understands that he can't go directly into a PHD program so he's trying for a masters and then a doctorate later on. What are his chances of getting into graduate school for history? What would he need to get on the GRE? Is there any hope for my friend?

  • A strange and odd situation......?

Hello again, I've been communicating with this girl I know from class. She's a bit nerdy, but a very kind and intelligent person between 21 and 22. She is also very conservative in her dress and general manner (beautiful under it all though!). Anyway, last week I was in this parade with her and three other people. Everyone is in a picture, even her. She sends the photos to us all, but there are no photos of her and she was the organizer of this whole event. So I send her an email asking her for the that one photo so I can at least have a picture of everyone in the parade and she refuses. Instead she says: "As a general rule, I don't give out my picture to people and that is why I am not in the photos". No "hello -----" or "howdy -------" like usual, but just the simple sentence. I felt it was rather pompous and thus totally out of character for her. What the hell is going on?

  • Possible betrayal.....?

Okay, I've met this girl who I am captivated by, but I'm a bit afraid of the consequences of knowing her. You see, I've had some bad experiences in the past with friends and family betraying my trust. So as a result, I don't make any new friends. I've never really had such a impetus to be friends with anyone, muchless a woman, until now (probably about 6 years ago). What should I do? How do I overcome my fear of betrayal? How could I befriend her so that I don't seem like I am pursuing her? Thanks for your help lads and lasses.....

  • How to get into Georgetown grad....?

I'm a Junior at the University of Minnesota with a 3.07 GPA and graduating will be graduating with a History and Political Science BA with an emphasis in International Relations. I haven't taken the GRE yet, but I'm wondering from those of you with knowledge of such things, what would help. Please, no negative answers like "aw man, you're screwed." Thank you.
