I have a significant list of misdemeanor offenses on my record from my 20s (no theft or fraud). I'm now 31 and I'm thinking about making moves to start a better career, but I'm curious as to how my past criminal record will effect me. What are the limitations placed upon Ohio employers when conducting a criminal background check? Is there a limit on how far back the check can go? Are there any rules pertaining to the type of offenses? Thanks in advance.

I recently purchased an Acer Aspire laptop. Everything seems to be working well except for browsing the internet on our wifi connection. When I plug an ethernet connection into it, browsing is fast and smooth, but when I use the wifi it's painfully slow (even with a strong connection). What could be the issue?

I recently bought an Acer laptop, and it intermittently gets EXTREMELY slow when browsing the internet, even though the laptop signal icon is showing that it has a strong signal. It has an Intel i3 cpu, 4 gb ram, 64 bit operating system, and its running on Windows 8. This problem never seems to be present on any of the phones we have in the house when they're hooked up to the wifi. Any suggestions on what the problem could be?

I'm currently looking into making some wax slugs from some spare target shot, but the Mossberg 835 Ulti Mag has a modified choke and I don't want to fire slugs through that barrel. Instead of buying a new barrel, I want to save some money and just buy a thread protector for the choke. Are 12 gauge thread protectors universal? I'm curious as to how much a surgery to fix the arthritis in my should would cost me (all inclusive: therapy, pre-surgery and post-surgery treatments). I am 31 years of age and I have significant arthritis in my shoulder (apparently from an injury in my youth). I have moderate spurts of pain from time to time because I exercise the joint daily. I constantly hear ticks and pings from the joint (from the ligaments), and I can tell that there is a bit of joint deterioration (slight sloping of the shoulder). I went to see a doctor about it, and he told me that there were chunks of bone in the joint which will cause joint damage if not remedied (he told me that the condition of my shoulder is of someone twice my age). He wanted me to begin a regimen of therapy, and if that didn't solve the problem, I would have to have it opened up and "scraped out", but since I don't have insurance, I chose not to do so. I may be able to procure the cash needed for the surgery. How much do I need? I live in Ohio.

I was thinking about living abroad for a while, and was looking into Uruguay. The country seems pretty cool, its legal structure and economy seem sound, and the climate looks fantastic. I have a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport and I'm considering using cheap road tires through the summer months and the AT tires in the winter. AT tires are much more expensive and each mile that I drive on them costs much more than miles driven on tires made for mere road use. The sizing on the tires I have now is P235/75R15 105S. I buy the generic brands of green tea that comes in bags, but it's brown and the tea that it creates is brown as well. Why is it brown instead of green? Does the brown green tea hold the same health benefits as the green green tea?

I have been contemplating living "off the grid" for a while now, and I'd like to know how long (just a general ballpark figure) a generator will power a house before it needs replaced. I will be running the generator on rainwater (yes, it can be done quite easily [same as all combustion engines]), and I'd like to compare the costs of electricity and replacing generators.
