I love running, I have been a competitive runner for 9 years and now I am a coach. I mainly hurdle but I will do any event. I also love playing pool and I also play the piano and cello. accomplishments: 2 time district champion in 300 hurdles 3 time state qualifier in 300 hurdles, 100 hurdles, and 4x400 High school records: 300 hurdles 100 hurdles 4x400 (anchor) 400 800 College records 55 hurdles 60 hurdles indoor 300 hurdles 400 hurdles 100 hurdles distance medley relay Cross country records 3 course records 11:33 PR 2 mile endless mountain invitational champion league champion I ran an international track and field meet in New Castle Australia. I competed in the 100 hurdles, 400 hurdles, 200, 400, 800, and 3000 steeple chase. I coached 2 girls to the junior olympics and they both came back home with medals.

  • family military travel?

    Ok so i'm in the reserves and we are having a xmas party during our december drill. Here is the catch this party is not at our normal unit it is 100 miles away at our headquarters, I already found the regs saying we can get paid for travel. We have been authorized to bring our family but I can't find the regs as far as if lodging would be paid for my family. Does anyone know the reg that covers travel and lodging for family?

  • my baby is 8 months old and stopped napping, how can i get her to nap?

    I moved in with my sister 2 months ago and in the last 3 weeks my baby has stopped napping. She used to nap at 10 in the morning for an hour and again around 5 for another hour but now i'm lucky if i can even get her to take 1 15 min nap. Since she isn't taking naps she is cranky all the time. I have tried rocking her to sleep, i have tried just letting her cry for a little while to see if she will fall asleep on her own, i have tried warm baths. Even at night she doesn't sleep very well at all. There is nothing wrong with her besides she won't nap. how can i get my baby sleeping better. i work from 4-10 at night and my sister watches my baby while i'm at work and i come home to my sister almost crying because my baby will just cry and cry even if you are holding her. I know she is super tired, but i don't understand why she won't take naps.

  • help light contractions for past 24 hrs?

    this is my 1st pregnancy, i am 40 weeks pregnant and yesterday my doctor did a sweep and stretch at 8am and i have been having really light contractions every hour since the appointment. The contractions aren't painful, my belly just tightens up for about one min and than it goes away for an hour. Is there anything I can do to help get things moving along?

  • newborn cloth diaper HELP!!!?

    I'm going to be a new mom in July and i want to use cloth diapers but I don't really know what i'm doing and I don't really know a whole lot about cloth diapering. So far after what I have been reading I think all in one's are the best choice for me. and I like the idea of snaps because I don't want to have to worry about the velcro in the wash. The more adjustable the diaper is the better I think it would be for me. I'm just looking for some suggestions a to what is the best. so overall I'm looking for an all in one diaper with snaps, for newborns. any advice would be a great help. thanks

  • smoking and pregnant?

    I smoked about 10 cigs a day for the past 3 years. me and my husband weren't planning on a baby yet but things happen. my period was a week late so I took a pregnancy test today and it was positive. I IMMEDIETLY QUIT smoking but since i had smoked through the 1st couple weeks does that mean my baby is going to have problems?

  • How can I dial A DSN # in the USA from a DSN phone in Iraq?

    I'm currently in Iraq and I was given a morale number to call stateside. All I have to do is dial this number and I will get connected to an army base close to where I live so i can make a call home. but it isn't even allowing me to dial the whole number, and I keep getting a message saying that the call can't be completed. Is there something I'm missing.

    I am currently serving in iraq, our SGT is saying we have to take a PT test on August 1st. I thought we weren't allowed to have formations or organized PT outside (this being a safety issue) so....are we allowed to have a PT test. Thanks

  • light period lasting more than a week?

    I had a condum break on me about 2 weeks ago and I took plan B and my frid is into home remedies. I got in touch with her to see if there was anything else I could do to help prevent a pregnancy (this also happened around ovulation) she told me to take Black cohosh, dong Quai, butchers broom, and penny royal. She said it will cause my period to come early (it will shake lose my uterine lining so nothing will stick) Well I did get my period but it is very light (but a smidge heavier than spotting I think, I'm not sure because I don't really know what spotting is) but anyways my period has been going for 9 days now. I haven't been thirstier than usual, or going to the bathroom more often, I didn't have and still don't have cramping or bloating. Does any one have ideas?

  • I'm stationed in Iraq, hurt my hamstring 5 mths ago, its not getting better and no dr. for me to see. Ideas?

    My hamstring just isn't getting better. I have done all the exercises from when I tore my hamstring 2 years ago I tried running for the first time in 5 months last night I made it about 200 meters and had to stop because it hurt. The only time it hurts is walking up and down stairs, sitting for a long time ( i work at a computer so I sit for long periods of time) and when I put all of my body armour on to walk to my room. The hospital over here can't do anything except give me pain killers because they don't have an MRI and I was told I will have to wait to see a dr. when I get back to the states (in 5 months) I am really worried about it being permanetly injured if I wait that long to do anything. If anyone has any ideas to help me out it would be great.
