Ok, a little background. I am 40 and this is my third pregnancy. The first two ended in miscarriage in the first 8 weeks. I am currently 15 weeks. I have not been to the doctor in 2 weeks (I go often because I am high risk). I am getting stressed that something is wrong. I having some weird pains...cramping in my upper thigh and behind my knee, spasms of my vaginal area and rectum...a lot of my "pregnancy" symptoms have subsided..but my nipples are still tender...I really don't feel pregnant...I had NO symptoms with my first two miscarriages. Is all of this normal? Need some reassurances...Thanks!

Just trying to get a little more information and input. Just wondering if any of you had morning sickness START after week 9? I don't know if I actually have morning (all day) sickness all of a sudden at week 9, or if I really have a flu bug.....Some odors have bothered me from the beginning and I have avoid some food because they "gross me " out, but I have not had waves of naseau or vomitted while pregnant. So just trying to determine if it's "late onset" morning sickness or the flu...Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

This is my 2nd pregnancy, my first pregnancy ended in a "missed" miscarriage about 2 years ago. I am 40 and considered high risk. I am currently 9 weeks 2 days pregnant. My symptoms have been tiredness and sore breasts and some minor abdominal discomfort. I have been battling an upper respiratory for the past week. Today I have a terrible head ache on one side of my head and face, my nose is stuffy, I am nauseous, and I just threw up for the first time since becoming pregnant. I am really freaking out that something is wrong with the pregnancy. I know you aren't doctors, and most aren't nurses...but do you think I should go to the doctor now or wait until my appointment on Monday?....I really am scared and haven't ever felt like this before...I am alone, as the father is out of state working and my family is out of state as well. Thanks for any advice!!

Has anyone had their OBGYN put them on 4mg (NOT micrograms)..and a prenatal vitamin with 1mg prior to conception after a miscarriage? I know the norm is 400mcg prior to pregnancy and is sometimes increase to 1mg...but a total of 5mg???? I am going to do it...my last pregnacy, that ended in a miscarriage a week ago, was unplanned...BUT now we really want to try and conceive a healthy baby...

I went to my family doctor today and he had a copy of my pathology report from my D&E (similar to an D&C) from last Thursday. It did not show any evidence of fetal tissue- no evidence of a baby at all....I was 11 1/2 weeks at the time of the procedure...my baby was measured the day before at 7wks4days with no heartbeat (we had seen a heartbeat at 7wks 2dys) there are ultrasound pics of both ..the gestational sac was 11 1/2 weeks in size...I go to my OBGYN (who I am not real happy with at the moment) tomorrow afternoon. Can anyone explain to me where the fetal tissue and parts of my baby went? I am so confused and so is my family doctor..

I am 11 weeks pregnant and have severe tendonitis in my right shoulder and arm...I have a high pain tolerance but this is horrible!!!! I have iced it, used icy hot, bio-freeze, moist heat, had a massage. I went to the ER and they said to take Darvocet (but not Flexeril)....the next day went to regular clinic...my reg doctor was out of town...and they said take Flexeril but NOT darvocet....I couldn't get a hold of my OBGYN....she's over a hour away from where I live....her nurse said she didn't think I should take EITHER but would have doctor call back...That was 4 days AGO.!!

My question is have any of you taken these drugs (Flexeril is Cat B, Darvocet is Cat C) while pregnant, or if you had severe pain during pregnancy what did your doctor let you take??? Or any home remedies???? I go to the OBGYN on Wed...But think I might cut off my arm by then!! LOL

Please any advice is appreciated....I know my doctor's advice is best...but I would love some input...THANKS!

I am 9 weeks pregnant for the 1st time at 39years old. When I first got pregnant I was extremely constipated but after getting on prenatals with a stool softner I was fine...Now I am dying...I feel like I need to go sooooo bad but when I get in the bathroom it just won't come out...Will straining too much hurt my baby? I took extra stool softner and ate dried prunes per my doctor but it's been 2 days and I think I might explode!!!

Okay here's the deal. I am 39 years old and pregnant for the 1st time. I am not a prude. I've had my share of unprotected sex in my life, but I feel I am being judgemental (or hormonal) at some of these questions posted here??!

Is is just me, or do some people on here think the "morning after pill" or abortion are the only forms of birth control?

I didn't lose my virginity until I was 19, but I knew that pre-ejaculate had sperm it in and the pull out method was not effective birth control at about age 14....why do so many young people think otherwise?

Do you find it strange that so many condoms are "breaking"?

Just wondering if I am being too harsh in my thought process?

Has anyone found out after learning they are pregnant that they are not protected against MMR (mumps, measles, and ruebella)? I know I had two vaccines before age 18. I am now 39 and pregnant for the 1st time. The doctor says I can't be vaccinated until after the baby is born....should I worry? I don't know of anyone who has had any of these diseases but I am worried about being in large crowds..malls, grocery stores, etc..Any thoughts??

I am having pain in my lower right pelvic area. It is almost where your leg is connected to the hip, but toward the inside. I am 39 and pregnant for the 1st time. I am 8wks/4days. Should I be worried. It's not sharp but it's not dull either. I am very nervous! Thanks for any insight!

Ok, first I am pregnant for the first time at age 39 and considered high risk for a variety of reason. I had severe nausea, but no throw up, for weeks 5-8. I also had weird pains, twitches, and tingles...Now NOTHING! I feel fine and only have sore nipples and am somewhat "hormonal". Is this normal? I go back on June 16th to check my blood pressure (OB took me off bp med on 6/5...Just nervous- Thanks!

My step daughters arrived yesterday for the summer. The have never been the greatest with their choices of what to wear. Their mother's philosophy is to let them "express themselves". Therefore she allows them to pick out clothes that are ill fitting and not age appropriate. They are almost 12 and just turned 13.

The 13 year old is 5'5" and weighs about 225 lbs. I have accepted most choices but today was the icing on the cake. She came out with a BIKINI on to go to the pool! It's great if she feels comfortable in her body BUT she looks terrible in it, the kids will make fun of her, and I worry it is sending the wrong message to boys- she doesn't look 13. Help me on how to handle this. Her father is out of town until Wednesday, but he won't be much help, he's afraid of hurting her feelings (as am I). On a side note, 2 years ago I bought her 2 very expensive tankinis that flattered her and still looked youthful..but now she isn't interested in my fashion advice. HELP PLEASE!
