Hello! I am a dancer, mid teens, and I have had knee pains for years. I have done 6 weeks of physical therapy with no positive results. I've iced my knee, taken anti-inflammatory medications and done less dance. But the doctor is sending me to see an orthopedic doctor/surgeon. I really would like to know what a lateral release is, and a knee scope is like. Tips, recovery and surgery help would be much appreciated!!

What kind of anesthetics are used? I want general so that I'd be out during the procedure.

How long would I use crutches? How hard it is to recover and go back to school? My high school has two levels, and luckily we have an elevator.

When would I be able to go back to dance? I dance 8 hours a week, and I don't want to miss a lot. If I had an immobilizer, could I walk with out crutches? How long would I have the immobilizer? And how painful is physical therapy for this injury?

I'd most likely get a scope with lateral release, by the way.

Hey guys. Well, he wasn't exactly my boyfriend, but we were basically dating for five months without the title because we both felt it was unnecessary. I loved him. We're sophomores now, and this was since April of this year. He was my first kiss, the guy that I could actually talk to and the one who I talked to all the dang time. But, he called things off around August this summer, saying he wanted to see how things were when we saw each other back at school. So, I waited all that month, waiting for the guy I always knew and trusted with my life to come back into my life and things would go on as they were.

But, I found out he went behind my back and went to a football game (I'm in marching band) and kissed a girl I don't even know. And along with that, over the summer he kissed another girl when we were still talking as something more than friends.

Seeing him at school is so hard because I still like him...and I wanna e friends. But I can't take it that he'd do something like that. It's okay to move on right? Even if the guy I like is his twin brother...right?

Alright, so now that a friend and I are back on better terms, we have been talking and acting like more than friends...For example, we had a pretty interesting start to this whole relationship (not dating); we talked for about a month and a half and kissed as 'just friends'. After a few people telling lies and trying to break us apart, we realized that they were wrong, so we're now talking again. The thing is, is that it's now summer and we won't see each other as much. I just hung out with him today, and he kissed me; again. He doesn't want to have a relationship "right now" but he likes me as more than a friend. I feel like we ended today on an awkward note because I don't know what to do. we're still talking, yes, but I know he feels awkward because he's taking things so fast. I want to talk to him about it, but I don''t know how since I don't want to make him mad. He is one of my best friends and my crush for almost this whole year (2012). I just need some opinions on what to do, beause I don't want this friendship to die or get messed up over stupid things. Okay, so after some rough times between me and a friend, we've worked things out. My friends on the other hand don't think I should give him another "chance". We never dated, but kissed as a friends, hugged, held hands, talked all the time and he called me beautiful alot. It was almost an exclusive friendship, and were talking again! So glad!(: anyways, my friends are all kind of mad at me for letting him back into my life so easily, but it honestly wasnt easy. He is one of the sweetest guys I know, and I don't want this friendship to die over the summer. Okay, I am a longboarder and I took a fall onto my shin and knees tonight. And yes, I know I should have had on knee pads, so please don't tell me all about safety. I had a helmet! I promise! Anyways, I hardly broke the skin, but it kind of bled, and it just stings. I have cleaned it out and I'm waiting for it to start to scab over. Anything I can do to help it heal faster? Thanks!

P.S. Is it a bad idea to go skating tomorrow? It's not like I'm not going to fall again so i can't baby my leg. :/

My crush (yes, I still have feelings for him) says he doesn't like me in a relationship sense anymore. He still really likes me as a friend, and I agree with that, but it really doesn't make sense. We never had a relationship officially, but we have kissed, held hands and hugged. He is having some problems with other friends right now, one of them is kind of thinking of hurting herself. My crush originally liked this girl, then moved on to me, so she kind of tried to win him over again. She doesn't like me, obviously, but it kind of caused the relationship between me and my crush collapse. He texted me that he really wants to still be good friends, but he doesn't really have the same feelings for me anymore.

So, onto what is really bothering me; I still like him! My friends all say I just need to move on, because he kinda did some crappy things. Okay, so my first kiss was earlier, and it was with one of my really good friends who also happens to be my crush. Hey guys. So, me and my friend already know we both like each other. Cute, i know! We have known for like2 and a half weeks that we both like each other. So, at lunch he holds my hands, gives me hugs, texts me a lot (he usually texts first), sends me "goodnight Beautiful :)" texts, says that he has had a crush on me for a long time, and really, really likes me. He said that "Honestly, you are one of those people that I could talk to forever". He is so adorable! :) But, all of a sudden he has been ignoring me. Like, totally avoiding me. Is it really possibly for him to all of a sudden not like me? Because, I really still like him.

He has brought up dating a lot, like "Would you ever want to go out?" "if I ask you out, I want to do it in a cute way :3" and stuff along those lines. I just don't know what to do, because he just kind of ditched me. He's not a player or the kind of person who would do that. Both are basically the same, just with the Lookout being an inch shorter (41") I am leaning towards the Lookout just because it is available in the store I am buying it from. Any suggestions?

I really like the drop-thru design of both of these boards and I would prefer them over a pintail as of now. I don't plan to do too much sliding or anything; mainly cruising and carving.

Hi everyone! I am going to get a longboard soon, and I have sort of chosen a few that I think would be good. I'm average height (5'6) and I weigh about 150. I have to decide from

-Sector 9 Punta Lobos

-Never Summer Eclipse

-Original Pintail (probably a 43)

I plan to carve and cruise, maybe eventually get into sliding. Any tips for wheels, trucks, etc. on these boards? Thank you so much! And, any other suggestions on complete boards would be much appreciated :)
