23 grams if CH4 and X grams of oxygen combine to form 19 grams of Carbon Dioxide and 5 grams of H2O. How many grams if oxygen were reacted?

A student finishes the first half of an exam in 2/3 of the time it takes him to finish the second half. If the entire exam takes one hour, how many minutes did he spend on the first half?

I am supposed to find the area of the shaded area. There is an image of a square inside of a circle. The measurements of the square is given and I was able to find out the area (which resulted to 36). However the area that is shaded is the circle outside the square. I'm so confused what method do I use and how do I figure out the area of the circle parts.
