I live half time with my mom and stepdad. My stepdad shares no interests of mine and can't connect to me at all. In the 7 years he's been married to my mom, he's taken me out for a treat once. once. I'm currently 15. My mom also non stop picks on me and tells me that I'm good for nothing and that everything I do is ridiculous. I don't smoke, do drugs, I do pretty well in school, but nothing I do is good enough for her. She is negative 90% of the time around me. In addition, my stepdad closes the door on me and seperates me from the rest of the house. Nobody even comes out to sit with me or even say "hi" each night. I have an excellent relationship with my dad, and while lecturing me from time to time, he stays positive and makes me feel wanted. When I go over to my mom/stepdad's place, there is a very sensible difference. One night me and my dad were talking, and I got a little upset with him, so I said bye and hung p. We work out a system where I hang up, cool off and call him back an hour later. But the minute my stepdad does is pounce on me and lecture me that I don't do that in "his" house even though he has zero understanding of me and my dad's relationship and problem strategies. I walk out of the room than my mom pounces on me. She tells me that I'll get nowhere in life and I'm going to get fired when I do that. She uses an almost evil negative tone along with an extreme raised voice and won't stop. They gang up on me, I boil over and swear at them several times for the first time ever and storm off to my friends house. That was the first time everything connected and I wasn't going to be treated like dirt any longer. I admit I was wrong, but they don't because they are the one's that (don't do anything wrong). I can't even explain how I feel to them because they WON'T LISTEN. Also should mention that for the past 3 years they won't even go out on a walk with me if I wanted to do that with them. WHAT DO I DO? HELP PLEASE! I'm down to last resorts. Tonight my mom is going to tell my stepdad I hate him. I don't even feel safe anymore. Any ideas guys? I'm desperate...

Our AP history class is going on a trip over spring break to Charleston, SC and Savannah, GA. We just got info on the trip in class this past friday and everyone is pumped to go accept one of my classmates who is gay. He is afraid that he is going to get bashed since it is the south. I've told him that those are all stereotypes but he is in denial and at this point refuses to go.
