Pale, limp and cold 10 month old - I need an explanation, please!?
On Christmas morning, I went into my 10 month old's room. She had rolled onto her tummy and her face was white. When I felt her, she was stone cold. I quickly rolled her onto her back and there was no response - she was completely limp. I thought she was dead and picked her up in terror. It was only then that she finally made a faint movement. She gradually came to over the next few minutes, I gave her a bottle and she was okay. I later took her to the Emergency dept. They examined her, couldn't find anything wrong other than a mild, viral chest infection and were unable to offer an explanation.
I don't know if she had stopped breathing.
Has anyone experienced anything similar? I'm terrified it will happen again and don't know what to do to prevent it.
