Alright, as you probably figured out, I am a huge metalhead. Metal is my life and obsession. The name Metal Historian was given to me by a few friends who thought I know too much about metal. Weekly Metal Lesson: Death Metal, one of the single most brutal forms of metal known to man, but unknown to most people, Death Metal was started as an experimental form of Thrash Metal. Possessed, who are unknown to most people, is the first band to play Death Metal. Death, though credited as the first Death Metal band, did not invent Death Metal, but instead, drew Death Metal away from Thrash Metal, further characterizing the genre. The most common vocal style in this genre is known as "growls" or "death grunts", which oddly enough, was first used by the band The Who in the song Boris the Spider.

    Alright, this is my first question, but since I have no problems/questions at the moment, I'm just gonna put a quiz of metal up.
