I am having trouble with an assignment stemming from the fact that I'm not sure if my conversion into cylindrical is correct.

z = 2*(x^2) + 5*(y^2)

My guess is z = 2*(r^2)*cos^2(theta) + 5*(r^2)*sin^2(theta)

Conversions are

x = r*cos(theta)

y = r*sin(theta)

r^2 = x^2 + y^2

Can somebody please confirm if this is correct?

So I'm looking to buy a second Evga Superclocked GTX 660 3GB to run in SLI. I can buy this card straight from EVGA for $250. Looking elsewhere, Newegg is out of stock, Amazon is selling one for $365, Bestbuy is selling them at $395, and there is a seller on ebay that is selling them at a whooping $961. The seller has sold four already. My question is, are these all the same card? Why the insane markup when I can buy the card from the manufacturer for much less money? Where should I buy the card from?

In the figure particles 1 and 2 are fixed in place, but particle 3 is free to move. If the net electrostatic force on particle 3 due to particles 1 and 2 is zero and L23 = 4.06L12, what is the ratio q1/q2?

I'm moving back home from college tomorrow. It's about an 8 hour drive. I have a 12" Sound Ordinance Subwoofer in the back of my car. Should I be worried about the vibrations or magnetic field doing damage to my computer? Currently it's packed about a foot away from the subwoofer on my seat, wrapped in a blanket, under a pile of clothes. Should I be concerned?

This started happening after I updated to iOS5. When wearing headphones my music only plays through the right earbud. I tried different headphones with the same results. Youtube also only outputs through one speaker. Even when playing music through the USB connector, it still only plays through the right speaker. My guess is this is a software bug. I am currently running the latest version (6.0.1) and still have this issue. Does anyone know if this is a bug or if there is a fix for it?

I recently updated my iPhone 4 to 5.1.1 and it seems that since then whenever I play music through my car stereo, the audio pops randomly. My entire system is aftermarket and I use a USB to play my iPhone. It never used to do this before. My radio and CD player sound fine, its just the iPhone that is having issues. I have a Kenwood kdc-x693 head unit. With 4 Alpine component speakers and a 4-channel Alpine amplifier. Sounded great before, but know I can't stand it.

The old subwoofer is an 8" running at 80 watts RMS. My home receiver, conveniently, puts out 80 watts RMS per channel. Does anybody know of any problems I might run into hooking this car subwoofer up to my home receiver?

First off, this girl is a foreign exchange student that is two years younger than me. She is a hardcore romantic and is sensitive. She must of taken to a liking of me because the other girls she had befriended recommended that I should ask her to prom. Since she is sophomore she wouldn't be able to go unless someone asked her. Having no other planned dates and Being a nice guy, I decided to ask her to prom. Apparently she took this way too seriously and now wants to hang out a lot, thinking we would do it as friends I agreed. She takes every opportunity to hold my hand, hug me and surprised me with a kiss. This just makes me feel absolutely awkward. Since I only want to be friends with her, what is the best way to tell her this.

Side note: She is leaving for her home country in 4 months. Having me as her "boyfriend" will make leaving extremely hard for her. I don't want that.
