I don't know whats wrong.

A couple of days ago I went to sleep and woke up with a weird cough and wheeze. After a while of coughing and wheezing, this "attack" slowly got getter, but as soon as i tried to go back to sleep it worsened. This same thing has happened for the past couple of nights, every night. I don't know whats going on.

Some extra details about this:

It seems to happen approximately 5 hours after sleep (when i randomly wake up w/ the cough and wheeze)

It gets better during the day until I lay down to go to sleep (I kinda predict that it might happen again cause i can feel something like mucus in my throat become "unstable" as i lie down to sleep) / for this reason i believe that it'll only happen while I'm lying down to go to sleep

It does get better very quickly after waking up, so long as I get up out of bed (no longer lying down)/ with the past couple of occurrences it got better within the hour.

The cough continues during the day but the wheezing is healed within the hour of waking up.

Can someone explain to me whats going on?
