Just out of curiosity. The name of our land is Going Downs. When I was younger I once asked my parents hy they called it that and they laughed and didn't answer me. I can only assume it is a dirty reference but I don't get it. Aha! I'm 23 so it's definitely time someone told me! I have a few ideas in mind as to what it might be referring to but it still just doesn't seem quite right.

Hi I'm 17 years old and only got my period at 16, so it is still very irregular which is no concern. (I know - late bloomer). But tonight I started my period again for the first time in three months. I'm ok for now as it is only light but will for sure be heavy tomorrow and I am low on supplies. The thing is, I think my mum thinks that I have started buying my own products and so she hasn't bothered for the last three months, but the fact is I just haven't had it for this whole time. I need to get some more products but I'm feeling a bit embarrassed to ask her to buy some after all this time as I know for sure , that I'll have to explain that I haven't had it for three months . But it's not only that , I'm embarrassed too , that maybe I am a bit old for her to be buying them for me but I've only had my period for a year and 4 months and I don't think I'm ready to be buying my own. Any advice on what t to do ? And if it comes down to buying them myself how can I without embarrassing myself in public? Thanks :)

Hi, I'm 17years old and I feel like a change in hairstyle, I'm just not sure what i'm after. I have very thin, blonde, medium/long lengthed hair and a round face. I am looking for a hairstyle that will give me some volume/thickness, yet one that allows me to look my age; a bit more grown up. At the moment my hair is layered and it kind of shapes around my face. However when I wear it out it seems a little plain and the layers are not very noticeable. I'll also say, that any extensions ect are out of the question and I also have a cow lick so fringes are also a bad idea. Along with this, I do not wish to dye my hair, as it is naturally blonde and I like it the color it is :) Any suggestions would be fantastic! My hair is difficult I know! But I'm really struggling to find something to suit. Thanks!

I only recently got my period (January) so im aware that it's going to be quite irregular for a while. I recently missed three months and it came back yesterday and today it was SUPER HEAVY! Hate to give so much detail, but I honestly changed my tampon once every hour today until about lunch time, then it slowed down to every hour and a half. I also had a very restless sleep last night as it was very heavy (wore a pad though), which is strange because usually I don't have much at night. In previous months throughout the day, it has just been quite a regular flow, is it just heavy because I've skipped three months?

It was such a drag today at school! The amount of times I went to the Bathroom was embarrassing. I'm fairly sure my best friend must have been thinking I was critically ill or something, I went there so many times lol.

So why is this one so heavy, is it because I've missed a few months? I also leaked quite a bit today, only because it was all so unexpectedly heavy, but is there a better way to know if the tampon is ready to come out, without going to the Bathroom and checking, can you tell just by the feeling?

So, Im sixteen and im just about over my hair situation! My hair is:

- Long.

- Really Thin.

- Frizzy and flat on top.

- Curly-ish underneath.

- Naturally Blonde (undied).

- Layered.

- KNOTTY!

- Takes forever to dry.

- Goes SUPER FRIZZY if blow dried.

Anyway my question is, how i can i stop my awful frizzyness and bring forward my curls without having to use a straightener or hair drier everday because my hair is too long and i dont have the time to do that every morning. Im also not interested in buying new products. I wash my hair ever second shower (every second day) with your average cheap shampoo from the supermarket, which im happy to use, and works as good as anything else. I comb my hair in the shower when my conditioner is in, then i wait about 1 minute and rinse the conditioner out. Then I dry my body with the towel and wrap my hair in the towel for about as long as it takes me to get dressed to the point where I need to take the towel off to put my shirt on lol. I then brush it and put it up. I know some people suggest to not brush it after the shower but I like to make my hair seem as long as possible in the pony tail and if i don't brush it it looks clumpy, messy and is difficult to get up high. (i hate having my hair tied up down low).

On days where i dont wash my hair, i dont wet it when im in the shower or it goes knotty, however i have to brush it or otherwise it looks and feels even frizzier, knottier and messier still!

Now i know your all gunna tell me what products and brands to use, but thats not what Im after.Im just interested in how i can prevent it being frizzy the best i can without going and buying all that fancy crap that is expensive and doesnt work. i also dont have time or patience to straighten it everyday! id just like to know how to decrease the frizziness and knottiness and bring forward the hiding curls, whilst at the same time having it up high and appearing lengthy.

Ill also mention that my hair after i have washed it is more than often difficult to do, because it takes a reallllllyyyyyy looooong time to dry, but if i use a hair drier it goes frizzy and knotty! It usually doesnt dry until around recess at school and like sometimes i will put my hair up and at the end of the day when i take it out it is still wet underneath where the hair band was...

Well i'm 15 in a couple of weeks. I weigh 40kg and am fairly short for my age. I look at myself in the mirror n i just... I just don't know about myself??? Yet i think i'm quite healthy.

But what i think is... oh i know all the boys don't like me cos i have braces n glasses, n i'm to skinny, n i don't have boobs or my period, n i'm too short, n i'm not cool. It's just that how i look is always on my mind. I always eat properly and actually most of the time I'm HUNGRY! N i am rather happy with how i look now but what i want soo badly is too DEVELOP!

Why havn't i got my period yet? I have had:

-Breast buds= 2yrs

-Pubic Hair= 2 yrs

-Underarm hair= None

-Discharge= 8months.

i've realised that... it's not as though i hate my body... it's as though i want to develop SOOO badly. I just hate not having boobs! All my friends DO! MY BEST FRIEND is the exact same height, weight n everything as me. She got her period in february! She always brags about it cos she knows i don't have mine... She says, 'oh i've got cramps... oh my hips r so big... oh my boob hurts... what are u looking down there 4? (I hate this cos i'm NOT looking at her boobs! It's just where i'm starring!) N THIS GIRL IS MY BEST FRIEND i love everything about her exept when she occasionally says comments like this! TODAY SHE SAID OH MY BOOB LOOKS BULCHY COS I PUT MY I-POD IN THERE!

Well I'm 15 next month n i was curious about why people on yahoo answers always say congradulations to teens who say they have just gotten their first period. Is a period something u r supposed to be happy about when u get it, because I don't have mine yet.

I've had:

Pubes for about 2 years.

Breast buds about 2 years

No underarm hair.

Discharge about 8 months

And so... is it supposed to be a bad thing if you don't have your period by now concidering people always say congradulations on yahoo answers to teens who say they have just gotten their first period? I'm confued???

Ok... To begin... My friend is the same height as me, same age as me, same weight as me! When she first got her period (February) she was bragging about it when periods came up in a conversation one day between my friends. They all asked each other if they had their period n she said yea i got a couple of months ago in February... She said it like 100 times! (My other two friends have gotten theirs.) I havn't n i said no when they asked me, my best friend was so suprised n kept bragging about hers. Occasionaly now n then, once n a while she goes on about her self, 'My boobs hurt', 'my hips are like soooo big', 'i don't want to have to use tampons n summer is coming up!' These are some of her classic brags in front of me! She only does it cos i don't have boobs or hips or my period. N i'm concerned about it cos i'll be 15 next month! Why do u think she's being like this??? We are the same in nearly every way!

Q1. should it not have come by now? I have pubic hair and breast buds but I don't have underarm hair yet.

Q2. I have had brest buds for... maybe nearly two years now n they havn't seemed to grow much... do breasts grow fast at one stage or do they just always grow slowly?

Q3. I have had discharge for about 8 months now... has this got anything to do with getting ur period???

OK ladies...Well i've been getting a little worried because i'm turning 15 next month and i still havn't gotten my period? I have small boobs... like not big enough for a 'real bra' and hair down there, and i get discharge every day. I don't get underarm hair yet though.
