  • Question about yoga dvd's?

This question is only for those who have done yoga, hopefully for a little while. I am living in a country where yoga is far to expensive for me right now,so I'm looking for a good, challenging yoga dvd for someone who is in the intermediate level. I would like one that is closer to the 1 1/2 classes I was used to before moving here. Any suggestions, along with a brief description of the work-out is greatly appreciated.

  • Question to vegans and vegetarians who've made seitan before?

I'm trying to make seitan from scratch for a seitan roast I want to make for Christmas. Problem is-I live in Denmark, not America,so I can not find Vital Wheat Gluten here. I can find Gluten flour, which I have found out is different. I don't have time to order the Vital Wheat Gluten from the US before Christmas. I guess I could try to make it with whole wheat flour, but I've never tried. How hard is it? Do any of you have any tips? How long will it take to make the raw dough? I'm just a little nervous and can use any help from anyone who's had experience making this with whole wheat flour. I plan to make a test run before Christmas,at least with the seitan,so I hope to get some advice right away. Tak og Glædelig Jul!!!

I need some recipes to make real, authentic Ethiopian food, including the injera. Any recipes will need to be vegan, meaning no meat, fish, butter, milk or eggs. Thanks for any recipes!

  • I'm 34 and don't plan to try getting pregnant til next year.?

As I said above,I'm 34 now.My husband and I aren't planning to start trying to get pregnant until next summer. I'm in school and will (hopefully) be done in June.

I'm worried about starting that old. Have any of you waited until your mid- late 30's? How was it? Is there anything I should know/worry about? I've been taking folic acid for the last year or so. Should I be taking anything else?

Any information anyone can give me will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  • Estrogen in soy products?

Here's a serious question. I would rather some facts, not just guesses or opinions. I have been trying to find out if it's true or not that soy has a dangerous amount of estrogen.

Also,if it's true that it's bad for young boys,or causes breast cancer. I have been trying to find this out,but I keep find contradicting information. One person says it's fine, another says it's not. I would like to have facts and links,if possible. Thanks!

  • If you're vegan or vegetarian, did you do research before about how to be healthy before you switching?

I ask because I have noticed on this site,a lot of people asking others for information about how to be healthy as a vegan or vegetarian. I wonder if this is the norm and if I am the odd one.

I constantly do research on how to be healthy on a vegan diet. I read books and look things up on the internet (mostly because I find it fun). 18 years ago, when i first went veg,we didn't have the internet like we do now and books were pretty rare to find. I just wonder if people are doing research and just having holes in their info,or if people are just jumping into something they with out being armed with important information.

I'm not trying to pick at people,I'm just really concerned.

  • Veg restaurants in Greece?

I'm wondering if anyone has been to Greece? I'm trying to find places that will accommodate my vegan diet. I'll be in Thassos for 1 week. I have found that they do have a lot of vegetable side dishes, but I just wanted to find if there's any specific for vegetarians and vegans.

I have already look on the internet and on Happy Cow,so now I'm trying to find some places through word of mouth.
