My brother has some major anger management issues. He is 22, depressed, stays with my mom, has no job, keeps saying that he has no friends. I am 20, I live in a dorm but when I come home for holidays things get crazy. He has a lot of mood swings and all of a sudden starts punching through walls, breaks glasses and sometimes I am scared for my own safety, my moms and his. He held up a knife to himself and said he wanted to kill himself today. I don't know what to do, I tried talking to him but everytime I try he shuts me out and says I don't understand. I tried talking to my mom about him but she doesn't want to talk to me b/c she's afraid he'll find out. So basically they both shut me out. I think he needs some serious help from therapist or someone else but my mom wouldnt hear of it. When he thought about suicide I wanted to call the suicide help line, but if I call them my family will hate me forever, I'm in a horrible situation right now, any ideas of what is the best action to take?
