I have a HP Pavilion DV6-1355dx Entertainment PC with a 500GB Hard drive and Windows 7 Home Premium.

Long story short my *BLEEPIN BLEEP* of a cat knocked over a cup of water on a nightstand next to my laptop and it ruined the hard drive. As far as I can tell justt the hard drive. It would boot up then said it wasn't finding the driver. So my mom had a laptop that the screen went out in and had bought a different laptop. I believe this hard drive is only 250GB and also it has Windows Vista on it.

Anyways, I put the 250GB hard drive in my laptop (about 2 months after the water incident).

Like I expected it booted up just fine and had all her files and pictures and all that jazz on it. I already knew I would lose all of my stuff. And like I also expected pretty much everything like audio, webcam, wireless lan, and all that is not finding the drivers and says it cannot update the drivers.

I'm probably sounding horribly stupid to those of you that know all that good stuff about "under the hood" of pc but everything I do know about pc's is just from trial and error and self taught. But I am pretty damn good at figuring it out with a little help so please don't hesitate, if its a long process and/or complicated, to just throw it at me.

Basically I want to know 1. is it possible to somehow wipe the hard drive clean and reinstall Windows 7 Home Premium and have a normal functioning pc? If so, how would I go about it? More specifically clearing the hard drive of the Windows Vista. Sorry this was so long I just want to be as specific as I can. If there is any more info you need just let me know. I ask because I didn't know if you knew if you are born on that day... well actually I believe its like oct 20-24th... you are tech a Libra/Scorpio cusp. Which means you can have both traits... I thought it was pretty cool...answered a lot of my questions about myself and personality.

So I know this is something I would need to ask my doctor, which I will on my next appointment but I'm curious if anyone out there has any first hand knowledge themselves. So my fiance and I are both diagnosed with bipolar disorder and also anxiety disorders. We both take our meds and as a whole live normal productive lives. We both want children one day. But we also both know how bad before we was diagnosed and finally got on the right combination of meds it hurt us mentally to not know and understand why we felt the way we did. I know mental illness can be genetic, both of our sides has some sort of mental illness, mostly depression. I know a lot of you will think this is a stupid question but is it possible like two bipolars can have a "normal" (as far as mental illness goes) child? Kind of like two negatives equal a positive?
