When are you available to start?
I'm filling out a job application and there are two back to back questions. I am currently employed and need to give 2 weeks notice should I accept another position.
What date are you available to start?
[MM/DD/YY]
If hired, how much time do you need to give notice for your current position?
[WEEKS]
Does the date I'm available to start (Question 1) include the 2 weeks notice? Or should I put the earliest date I can start excluding the two week notice?
4 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment2 years agoHave you tried mortal online?
Mortal online is a subscription based hardcore mmorpg. There is an unlimited free trial though. It's first person, lose everything upon death. Can attack anyone anywhere. You'll be branded a criminal and people/guards can kill you without consequence. I only ask because, despite it being a great game with a few meager flaws, it's lacking a large community.
1 AnswerVideo & Online Games5 years agoFire procedures Walgreens?
I applied online. I was called in yesterday to do a skills assessment. So I went in after school and did it. I felt pretty good about it. But 1 question is bugging me. It's a question of reasonable importance which I think could have cost me a job. The assistant manager said he'd give me a call today and I didn't get it. I'm freaking out. I need this job desperately. I'm 17 senior in high school, has a truck on the brink of breaking down, and need to rebuild my savings from recent months of unemployment. The question is as follows.
Which of these do you not do when there is a fire?
a) leave the building
B) evacuate the customers
C) notify management
D) call 911
I selected D. Based off the walmart policy. Only management is supposed to call emergency services, as a false call costs the store $10,000 in fines. Even managers are supposed to call corporate before calling emergency services. Plus I imagine the fire alarms would go off if it were large enough to warrant calling the fire department. Besides, the most important thing is to get everyone out. I'm less worried about the property damage. Insurance will pay for that. But notifying management is necessary in getting everyone out of the building.
Was I correct? If not, if asked to explain my reasoning, would I still have a shot at this job?
2 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment5 years agoWhat're some easy meals a teen can prepare?
I'm 17 and my parents haven't cooked anything in like 2 years. They buy cheap frozen ****, which I've no interest in eating. As a result, I tend to eat one thing a day. Be it a McDonald's cheeseburger or a frozen TV dinner. I'm not getting more than 400 calories max a day. I'm trying to gain weight, so I need around 3,000 calories a day. Anyone have recipes or foods that a 17 year old male could cook?
Thanks.
2 AnswersDiet & Fitness6 years agoDating or not?
Today I asked a girl out, but she was busy. However, she's actively trying to schedule us a date. Techincally, are we dating? We both have the intent to do so, but have yet to go on a "date". Just curious, thanks.
6 AnswersSingles & Dating6 years agoAre all walmart customers idiots?
I work at walmart and some customers have the IQ of a fruitfly. I'm a cashier and I'm 16, so I can't sell alcohol. Customers get annoyed at having to wait a minute for a manager to finish the sale. They ask why I'm a cashier if I can't sell the product. I can sell thousands of items our store sells. I don't work smoke shop cause I can't sell tobacco, so there's pretty much 1 category of item I can't sell. Do customers realize I can sell everything in the store except alcohol? From a business perspective its best to hire mostly minors. They don't receive benefits, generally accept lower wages, and can sell the majority of the items in the store.
2 AnswersSmall Business7 years agoHow to ask for more hours?
Let's make this short. I work at walmart where the personel office does your schedule for the first 3 weeks. Management has only started doing my schedule. So far I'm down to 22 1/2 hours a week. I'm 16 and supposed to get 24 1/2 hours a week. Checking my schedule, however, I noticed the week of the 5th, I'm only working 3 shifts (13 1/2 hours). I really enjoy working and am seeking advice on ways to approach the shift manager about this. Thanks.
2 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment7 years agoTeen financial help?
I'm 16 and have a job I've only recently started. So far I'm averaging paychecks of $288. Every payday i take $72 off my card (25%) and avoid spending money from my card. I fully intend to open a savings account but have been unable to find the time so far. Today I've started a hand-written ledger and purchased a lockbox for all my financial records (Paystubs/receipts/ect). I'm just curious as to whether I'm saving a sufficient amount. I hear oftentimes that 50% is good for teens but was wondering what everyone thinks of my financial habits.
3 AnswersOther - Business & Finance7 years agoHelp overcoming my racism?
Firstly, I'm 16 and a sophomore in highschool. I started following politics several years ago. I feel I'm crossing the veryyy fine line between nationalism and racism. I got a bad impression of blacks, as the 1st one i met smelled horrible all the time (1st grade-3rd grade). I feel minorities have an irrational sense of entitlement. They live in our country, speak foreign languages all the time, they don't even have professional courtesy at work. I've a few friends who're minorities, 2 Mexicans and a Filipino. I'm fine talking to them, but still recoil when they touch me for any reason. I want to get over my racism, so any suggestions would be nice. Thanks.

It needs the heating coil aswell as the engine bracket replaced. What specific part fits this vehicle? What'll be the labor charge roughly? I'm nearly 16 and getting that truck if it lasts...
2 AnswersFord7 years agoCan cold medicines cause temporary erectile dysfunction?
I'm 15 years old. Have been really sick the past 5 days or so. I've taken a variety of medicines properly (waiting 4+ hours before another carefully measured dose). These medicines include DayQuil, NyQuil, and mucinex. Not simultaneously. I ran out of DayQuil/NyQuil yesterday so I took mucinex today. I've seen online that decongestants cause temporary erectile dysfunction, however those pages were old. I'm not relying on 6 year old pages. Can these medicines cause me temporary erectile dysfunction? If so, how long do these medicines take to work their way completely out of my system? I'm finally beating this flu or severe cold. Thanks from a very worried 15 year old.
5 AnswersMen's Health7 years agoCan I become a fighter pilot?
I'm very nearsighted (20/400). My glasses correct my vision to 20/15. Can I become an air force pilot? If not, how about a commercial airliner pilot?
3 AnswersMilitary8 years agoGetting a Part time job?
Little background information: I'm 3 months away from being 16. I want to get a part time job in febuary. I also plan to do a concurrent enrollment offered by my school (half the school day at the local tech school, half the day at the high school). The concurrent enrollment shouldn't be relevant. I'm considering walmart as a cashier. From what I've heard, cashiers tend to stock a lot. I don't mind stocking. I plan to shoot out applications to several places. Being a teenager, I don't have any references. I could get a ride from a friend after school and work around 1630-2200 every day, perhaps later on Fridays and 8-4 on weekends. My grades are As and Bs. I'm slightly more obedient than most teenagers. I plan to research the company to gain background knowledge. So, any recommendations that may or may not help me get a job?
Also, I'd gladly accept legal responsibility for any work related mishaps of which I'm responsible for.
1 AnswerSmall Business8 years agoSelf defense rights for someone on probation?
Basically, some asshole is trying to act like a badass and get me to fight him. I'm great at ignoring people. I'm also 15 and on probation. What must happen for me to have a right to punch him whilst avoiding further trouble with my probation. I means self defense wise. How would I prove he hit me 1st if his 4 friends will gladly lie for him? Whenever he's in the same room, i keep him in my periphery vision. Odds are he'll strike when his friends are around. Potentially, they might jump me, creating a 1v5 fight. If they do, what charges would I be able to press? I won't press charges against just 1 person. But if its an uneven fight (people wise) I will gladly press charges.

5 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police8 years agoHow am i "setting terms"?
I can't take pills. I plan to join the reserves, aswell as becoming a cop. I usually refuse medicine when possible.. I believe most meds for the army are injected. I'm sure in a life or death situation I could take a pill. Any policies forbidding me to join either job?
That's my question from the other day... I don't know how it could be interpreted as me setting terms... I simply said in my life, up to date, I don't like taking medicine. That is some background information on me. I was asking whether there were policies forbidding someone incapable from joining...
Any answers regarding policies would be acceptable aswell as an explaination as to how it was misinterpreted and some advice for future questions:

4 AnswersMilitary8 years agoSeverity of consequences?
I'm extremely homophobic... Im on probation... What would happen if some homosexual kid comes onto me and i knock him out..? Would I get the standard 2 day suspension, longer, or shorter? What would happen with my probation? Would I be in violation of my probation due to my phobia? I mean, my probation officer would certainly notify the DA, whom I've got a contract signed with saying I will not break the law (ie drugs, felonys, ect.).
