  • What is the best way to get a king sized bed from Maryland to Naples, FL?

We're moving and a lot of the moving options are more expensive then the bed itself. Anybody have any ideas?

  • One of my Zebra Danios just laid eggs, now what do I do!?

I siphoned the eggs out (hopefully already fertilized) into an extra 10 gallon tank. They are sitting in the tank with a light and a heater, I was afraid the filter would suck them up. I have an extra filter running on a cycled tank, should I use that?

How do I feed them? Should I put a filter in?

  • How frequently do you have fish die from your aquariums?

I lose about 1-3 a month from random illness and getting attacked by other fish who are supposed to be compatible (Opaline Gourami killing a larger Pink Gourami? How does that happen). Is this normal?

I have 2 30 gallon tanks, one with about 10 tetra and danio and the other with 4 gourami, a small chinese algae eater, and a smaller banded leporinus, and a pleco that just disappeared.

  • Where can I buy Silica (blasting) sand for my aquarium substrate?

I went to my local Home Depot and found myself some Play Sand, but I ended up not liking the color or the amount of cleaning it needed. I have heard that Silica Sand is much lighter and nicer to deal with for freshwater aquariums, and it won't affect the water chemistry much if at all. There is just one problem, I can't find it anywhere! Does it go under any other names?

  • Is there such thing as too much filtration in an aquarium?

I have a 30 gallon tank with a 20-50 gallon filter and a 5-15 gallon filter running because I upgraded from a 10 to a 30 gallon tank. I want to keep the beneficial bacteria from the old filter but it's not powerful enough by itself.
