  • I'm doing a lot of coaching sessions for children's auditions...?

I'm coaching and have coached several girls around age 9 to help them audition for various musicals in the community. I LOVE doing this. They are adorable and so fun to work with. But. I'm having trouble coming up with audition songs for them that are a little more creative. Any suggestions? The musical that's coming up is Seussical. If suggestions could be slanted that way, I would appreciate it, but any songs are helpful! Thanks!!!

  • I'm a voice major and my doctor told me I have a hemorrhage on my vocal fold...?

...and he suggested I have surgery involving some kind of laser that would remove the hemorrhage or something. I really don't understand this process. I have had the problem for quite some time, so I'm not sure if complete vocal rest would help. Does anyone know anything about this surgery or other options? I haven't been able to find much info online and I'd rather not have surgery. Thanks!!

  • Why do baseball coaches...?

Okay, so I don't watch baseball much. But why do the coaches wear the uniforms along with the players for games? There's no other sport where they do that. Basketball, hockey, they're wearing suits, football is a little more relaxed, but still.

    What's the deal with that?

  • Anyone know the name of this book?

There's this book I got at the library that was really cool, but I can't remember the name.

It's about a guy in highschool who doesn't really talk or interact with anyone else. A new girl moves to town and determines to make him talk or become friends with him or whatever. I believe the others at school refer to him as the alien or something.

Anyway, it turns out that the reason he doesn't interact is because his older brother psychologically traumatized him, saying that if he did anything the brother didn't want, his brain would explode. So this boy ends up believing it, even as a highschooler, and starts bringing these symptoms on himself.

It's super interesting and I would love to re-read it...anyone know the name of it?
