  • Is it wrong to use someone's unsecured Wi-Fi network?

Ok, long story short, I moved into an apartment complex not long ago. One day while using my laptop I found a Wi-Fi network that was unsecured and that was giving "excellent signal strength" so I decided to use it for a while until I got my own service. It's been a couple of weeks and I'm still using it, the speed is rather fast and I've managed to get into the administrator page (AT&T service, while connected to it go to http://home/ in your web browser) and I discovered at least 17 other devices that have used it at one point or still are. I'm not trying to hack it or anything, I just wanted to see if I was the only one. My landlord says they don't offer free Wi-Fi so it must certainly be one of my neighbors who didn't want to or didn't know who to secure it. At first I only used it to do some light web browsing and YouTube once in a while, but lately I've moved to Netflix streaming and online gaming. I feel guilty at times but I notice that even with the stuff I do the speed is still pretty good (17-20 mbps) so I don't think the owner will notice a drop in performance. I just wanted to know some opinions as to whether this is moral or immoral. And yes I'm getting my own service in two weeks, budget has been tight due to the moving, that's all.

  • iPad Mini or Nexus 7?

Ok, so I got an iPad Mini 16GB as a birthday present. It was totally unexpected so I don't know what to do, I'm not a fan of iProducts so I was thinking about selling it (brand new and sealed) to get the Nexus 7 instead. I've always used Android, that's what I'm familiar with (never had an iPhone or such). So my question goes to both iPad Mini and Nexus 7 owners. What are the advantages from one over the other one? I haven't opened the iPad, I'm trying to hold the resale value, therefore I haven't played with it.

  • Help! PS3 suddenly stopped reading discs.?

Long story short I was watching a movie, fell asleep so I figure the PS3 went to the movie top menu (which repeats scenes over and over again) and my ps3 was on from about midnight until 8-9 pm the other day. When I came back from work. I brought another movie but when I inserted the disc nothing happened. I can't find the movie in the video option nor did I hear the sound that it usually makes when it's reading a disc. Nothing is working, blu-ray, dvd, games, audio cd, and I'm really desperate. Could it be that I left it on for too long? I've let it cool off and when I turned it on again and inserted a game it didn't run it either. Has this happened to anyone?

  • Would you consider this annoying?

I have a friend (girl) who I recently met, since she moved to my town towards the end of last year but we've come to be really close friends, we hang out a lot and do stuff together and things like that. However, for some reason, outside of the time we spend together, I feel as if she didn't want to have any communication with me. I send her a text, and she replies after 30 mns or more, and she never seems interested about having a conversation, or sometimes she answers the first texts and then nothing. I'm always first to reach out to her, but lately I feel like I'm being too annoying, It's not like I'm "asphyxiating" her and trying to be with her all the time, but I just want to know if she takes this friendship as serious as I do, or I'm just the dude she hangs out with when she's not doing anything else. I just want to know if I should keep texting her first or if I should just wait for her to text me at least once and show a little interest (although I'm sure this may never happen)

  • Advice on car purchase.?

Hey everyone, here's my situation. I'm a 19 year old guy, graduated from high school and enrolling in college next year. I know this might not be the best time to purchase a car but it's something I've been planning to do since like forever, mainly to show my family that I'm responsible enough, and to star my credit history. I've narrowed down the potential options to these cars:

    -2007 Hyundai Tiburon

    -2002-2004 Ford Mustang.

    - Mitsubishi Lancer (later models)

    -Subaru Impresa

    -Mazda RX-8 or Mazda 3

    -Honda Civic Si.

I'd like to hear opinions on these cars, whether they're a good fit for me or if there are some others I should consider to include on the list, and overall, which one would be the best.

    *Additional info.

My income is around $1800/month (tax free) My budget for the car is $12000,.but I'm willing to go up to $15,000 if the car is really worth it.

    Thanks in advance.

  • I need to know, is this a scam?

Hi. I just sold an item on eBay, and everything was going according to the plan. Then, after sending the tracking number to PayPal, I received a suspicious mail from PayPal, supposedly there was an error on the transaction and they deducted more money from the buyer's account than the money the buyer paid (the buyer paid $550 and they deducted $850). And now, in order for me to get the money credited in my account, I have to send the buyer those $300 via Western Union and send PayPal the verification number from Western Union so they know I refunded those extra $300 to the buyer and then Paypal can put the money in my account. Is that possible?
