Our 18 yr. old mare has developed Anhydrosis , has anyone heard of or tried beer or beer / bran mash ? We are hosing 3 times daily in front of fan and pastured in shady pasture , but we live in Fl.

Our saddles and bridles have a green fungus . it varies some are new , some are old , some get used almost daily , some are hardly ever used all are cleaned regularly with leather cleaner and saddle oil . All are kept in tack room , we live in Fl. I have owned horses and saddles all my life 48 yrs. , I never had a problem until about 5 yr. ago .

I am trying to educate a hard headed person about the dangers of Jumping young horses , he has been told that a Clydesdale matures early and because of size can jump Steeple chase style at 3 . I need textbook style proof . I have Googled it every way I can think of and can't find what I am looking for . PLEASE list your references with your entry thanks . i have read this information in one of hundreds of horse books i have read in my life , I own over 100 horse books , but have unable to put my finger on this tidbit of knowledge . the horse in question is a Clyde/Quarter cross in heavy training / trainer & owner are iffy on his young age . thanks for your help !

My friend was given a 5yr old male Chihuahua , he was completely house trained and did not mark any furniture of the previous owners. he has been living in a kennel and breeding / producing No puppies for a year . My question is if I take him as a house dog will he pee on everything i own? The kennel owner says you can never bring a male that has bred back into a house . I don't want him to be homeless or worse , but have new furniture and carpet in a new house and husband NOT an animal person Infomation of experienced owner please!
