  • Filipinos, Would you pay to learn English from me? As the wife of a foreigner with excellent English?

language skills, for getting a job, learning to deal with foreigners or just conversational English, would you in the local community be prepared to pay to learn to speak and write English as I do? I have an Australian TESOL Certificate if that is your query? Would that make a difference or not? Or do you think a home based English class would not be beneficial as opposed to paying high fees in a so called city based ''College''

  • Filipinos--my husband owns many power tools of all very good quality and types. So--I am asking--?

Do you think it would be a good business to hire them out to locals to use when building or renovating their house/property? He has all the best equipment including generator and everything a GOOD carpenter would want. Do you think I should start this type of business as he doesn't use all the tools every day and they just sit in the garage most of the time? Would you hire a welder or water blaster or chainsaw, nail gun, spray painter machine, welding equipment? And, what would you pay?Per day ?

  • Australians--have I been a tad NAUGHTY today?

Last week a glossy expensive brochure arrived from the local Labour Mayor spouting his good work in the area. I glanced and thought, that wouldn't be cheap to print. Then, yesterday ANOTHER one , exactly the same in the letter box again. This morning I noticed it said down the bottom

No Taxpayers or Ratepayers funds were used to produce or distribute this letter.

So--was it NAUGHTY of me to scribble on it ---------------------

OK--What slush fund set up by your Imperious Leader did pay for it then ? Put it in an envelope and sent it back?

    Naughty or not ?

And that money has and was allocated to clear them all and save all this hassle of floods in Downtown but has been squandered on personal gains by corrupt politicians?

Just asking and as in here there are no Goon Squads to kill you at 2am while you are asleep in your bed you can answer honestly.

  • Filipino Athletes at the Olympic games in London--- I---?

Just want to say that apart from the fools here criticising Filipino performance, we DONT ALL think like that and wish to extend to the ENTIRE team a well done, good for you and go for it message. Some of us at least KNOW you may not win a medal but are doing your best, representing the Philippine Islands Internationally and we are very happy to cheer you on. I ask other Filipinos to post POSITIVE REMARKS in this section instead of negative.

The fools asking why no medals have been won by The PI Team obviously are armchair cowboys or they would be there competing themselves. What do Filipinos think? Are the Athletes NOT there to win? Of course they are. If competition is fierce, well, thats the Olympics.

    Go team !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Australians, watching the Swimming at the Olympics is one thing --BUT--?

Listening to Grant Hackett's snide comments about Not quite making it or Just missing out and generally being really down on everybody for NOT winning medals is becoming a bit nasty from my point of view. Shouldn't he commentate on the race and NOT the Athlete? What do you think?
