I want to donate a $80 CPU & Motherboard to a Linux developer (German Citizen) that does not have a EFI/UEFI motherboard. The developer lives in Germany and I am in the US.

I also want to pay the customs duties for him if there might be any on that small dollar amount. He will not resell the product, it will be used to test the Linux in overcoming the Microsoft secureboot lockout problem.

Will Fed EX or UPS be the safest method, and can they deal with Taxes he may need to pay?

I am looking for a EFI Linux box, and did some research on this system, but can not locate it on Newegg, Tiger Direct or Fry's Electronics. Is this a system only being sold outside of the US?

Secureboot for windows 8 is a mess for dualbooting operating systems, is anyone still building a coreboot desktop motherboards that allows multipule partitions, and large 4 gig drives format capability?

I understand Google's Chromebooks are all using coreboot as a safe boot system, and already Microsoft's secure boot has been cracked since September 2012!

I have a new Motherboard and CPU combo. I want to download a Linux ISO, burn a DVD, and boot the distro with DVD medium. Then I want to format my hard with a GPT partition table, and set up a Root, Swap, and Home partition with a simple graphical installer.

I have not found a newer Linux operating system install that provides, an easy install system (secure boot turned off), supporting Asus' ez UEFI motherboards.

Looking for an Alpha, RC, or Released Distro that has an easy installer for UEFI

I always use Google Chrome, seldom use anything else. Just updated older winXP sp1, to sp2, and Sp3 and it was running well until I.E. 8 was installed as an update. (system is a HP Pavlilion ze5700)

Before Google Chrome was quick, Firefox was also fast, and I.E. 7 was decent. Now I.E. 8 is slow but works, Google Chrome can not open many websites and Firefox is slow as molasses in January. Can I unload I.E. 8 and return to I.E. 7 to have Google Chrome and Firefox work again, or has Microsoft done something else to sandbag these software packages?

I was amazed not using windows since 2007, that this could happen today. I.E. 8 lost some performance to I.E. 7, but what ever I.E. 8 did it has effected the performance of other web browsers...

I am typing this from another computer as this would be impossible with the HP Laptop... Speed here is great...

For the holidays I received an inexpensive Android Tablet, running Droid 2.3 with a 18GBs of memory. I really enjoy the unit with one exception.

I road my bicycle on rain soaked roads yesterday from a thunderstorm. I was on my road bicycle without fenders and the backside of my light colored jersey is now full of spots. I have washed the jersey in cold water & detergent without noticeable improvement..

I need a suggestion from someone that has better knowledge of removing the stains and not the bright poppy color of one of my favorite tops. We seldom have rain, on average only 4" a year, i presume these stains are oil and rubber from the rain covered streets that were flung from the wet tires.

Any good home cleaning suggestions?

Have a new Nikon and the language is set to something i can not read. I have looked all I can find in the manual is it is set when you first turn on the camera.

I can not find any other explanation in the manual on resetting the camera...

Might someone have the solution for this seeming simple problem. The camera takes good photos, and works well with Linux Computer using a $6 portable USB 2.0 memory card reader. But not having the camera reset into my language does make using the system a problem...

I have an emergency Cell phone, that i use in the US, I looked on Net10 website and can not locate information about using the phone overseas...

Or would it be easier solution to purchases another brand prepaid cell phone in Japan, and use that service to call the US... I have a Basic Nokia 1600 phone...

These were low end hybrid bicycles that sold in the $300 range, and still get $100 - $175 prices on eBay, Craigslist and other auction websites... I understand they are still great commuter bicycles and the upgrades to the running gear and brakes can increase the prices.

I want one for a commuter build, but can not believe the prices being asked. Is there a legitimate reason for the high prices for a decent example of this bicycle? I am on the west coast where we have no rust or corrosion problems.

I have about 100 email contacts that use Yahoo email and every one of them forwards email as an attachment every day... They do not edit out the senders info header or the thousands of extra email addresses included with these forwarded emails...

I have shown these co-workers how to clean an email, before sending, but they are still are uncertain or lazy and because of this I have almost stopped sending email to these individuals, as I know they keep sending my email address to everyone they communicate via email...

Does yahoo or a third party have a youtube style video message about email etiquette that can be sent to these individuals every time they forward an email without taking the time to clean up an email...

I have reached an impasse with a few co-workers that makes me want to add their email address to spammers list to be certain they will receive 10,000 advertising emails a day and must change email addresses every time they forward and email to me with out cleaning the sent headers...

Before I find a way to accomplish that anger venting of destroying my co-workers email accounts, I would like to try and use a video education tool so they might finally understand how to clean up their act... Yahoo must have some educational tools I would like to believe...

How, to remove these unauthorized add-ons from Firefox 3.6.8?

Is there software that will strip Bing from a Win7 computer? Is there a new version of FireFox coming to to remove this newest browser infection. I have both of these add on disabled, uninstall is grayed out and the Bing toolbar keeps reappearing... The Toolbar does not appear in the program list to uninstall, need some help on this one.

I run DDS and it shows i have the Bing tool bar installed but can not find a way to eliminate this troublesome infection of Firefox. How can I remove this search engine tool bar?

I also see i have A Microsoft Search Enhancement Pack that I had not seen earlier, Seaport .exe I might be mistaken, and not noticed this earlier, but looking carefully for Bing may have brought it to my attention.

Fresh install of the winXP operating system, updated to SP3 added the Free AVG and suddenly performance is like stirring molasses in January.

I have recycled a older eMachine T1090, but can not understand the performance hit with the newer version of AVG... This system is not a power unit, but it was quite zippy before installing the Free AVG

Currently I know about these three free anti-virus software programs all of them have some form of nag screen. But what about performance hits in these older systems that should be recycled?

Exfat, is a toll gate for Digital Camera Makers, SXDC cards, and any one entering the memory card field for Digital Cameras.

I haven't got a clue why anyone except Microsoft would want to a closed owned propriety file system, rather than an free file system that is already used with SSD memory?

This does not make economic sense are Camera Manufactures daft in the head...

Could someone explain this nonsense of creating propriety problems for all levels of this storage technology in the Digital Camera arena, without being a Microsoft fanboy!!!

Eight years of Outlook Express for a friend, and they have saved the e-mails in a very organized file system, containing, odf, doc, elm, pdf, txt, and jpg files...

I can not believe she did not copy and paste the e-mail informations as a txt file, instead of saving the Outlook Express e-mails files.

She must have 8 or 9 thousand e-mails files saved in Audry Adams to Zora Zuma file folders. Now with a new computer running Win7 that does not support Outlook Express, how to find software that will open every time she clicks on a e-mail file in one of her hundreds of file folders that could be one of several sub folders...

I have installed Outlook, from Microsoft Office Suite 2002, but do not see a method to adding Outlook Express file support... Might someone have a suggestion, for another software to install in Win7 to allow her to have access the to her archive files. Windows live will work for her e-mail, but not the thousands and thousands of files she has in her archives...

Converting all of these files in place is going to be a 6 -7 months job converting a 100 a day... If they were saved in the Outlook Express I could import them into outlook, but they are saved in file folders and sub folders inside of sub folders...

Would someone please run CPUz on this system., and publish the Motherboard Info. I have read a few reviews everyone is beating this system down, but not one review, nor eMachine has the motherboard listed.

Can someone explain why, and provide instructions to how to correct this address?
