  • Who said this "A tax cut means higher family income and higher business profits and a balanced federal budget.?

"A tax cut means higher family income and higher business profits and a balanced federal budget. Every taxpayer and his family will have more money left over after taxes for a new car, a new home, new conveniences, education and investment. Every businessman can keep a higher percentage of his profits in his cash register or put it to work expanding or improving his business, and as the national income grows, the federal government will ultimately end up with more revenues."

  • With unemployment at 9.5%, where is the outrage?

We were told that if the stimulus bill did not pass that unemployment would hit 8%, well now it is at 9.5%, why aren't the people who were pointing the finger at Bush and the Republicans saying anything about Obama and the Democrats? Lack of integrity, close minded, or just unwilling to admit that BOTH parties are to blame?

  • Should someone set their morals and values aside just for votes?

I don't care about party, but should anyone running for office set aside what they believe in just to win an election? I don't think that they should, I respect those who stand for what they believe, if it is a Republican, or Democrat it doesn't matter. I cannot respect someone who is willing to sell their values out just for votes.

  • The EPA is putting a regulation on dust, how can they do that?

I heard that the EPA was considering putting regulations on dust from farmers, how can they do that, wouldn't that just make the prices of the goods go up, and why do it now when alot of the farms are in areas that are in a drought?

  • What do you think about Tim Kaine?

This is for my fellow Virginians, but anyone can answer. How do you feel about our Governor? Is he good, o.k, sucks to high heaven whatever. I think he is terrible. Larry Sabato Professor at UVA says this about Kaine: "Few nonpartisan observers in Virginia regard Kaine's tenure in the Governor's Office as particularly successful. Having known every governor since Albertis Harrison (1962-1966) and having studied the records of the dozen most recent governors, I would characterize Kaine's term to this point as belonging to the bottom quartile." He ran on a bipartisan platform, and has been anything but, he is so partisan he is now the DNC chairperson.

  • What happened to personal responsibility?

With all of the bail outs going on what the heck happened to personal responsibility? If you sign a home loan, you are responsible for it, if the lender who gave the loan wants to re-do it then that's up to them. I lost my job in November I don't want a government handout, I got my *** back in school to learn a new trade so I can find a job. I was just a production worker making $10.00 an hour, my wife is a teacher making $30,000, so money is tight, but I did what I felt gave my family and I the best options on bettering our lives, not the easy way out. I know what it is like to be broke, I grew up in the projects, food stamps, reduced lunch, no lights, no phone. My sister and I got out of that, so it is very possible to do it, it just takes something that this country is losing, guts, determination, and hard work.

  • North Korea says it is ready to go to war with South Korea, will it happen?

Will it happen or is just the same ol' chest thumping that they do every 4 years or so? I think that they are full of it, and have no real intention on going to war, just more of that "Hey look at us were still here", actions they do ever so frequently.

  • Does President Obama, and V.P Biden have too much power?

I ask this because people were saying Bush, and Cheney had too much power (I agree they did), but how come I don't hear the same about the Obama camp? Isn't it only fair to say that they also have too power?

  • Should the House and Senate have term limits?

I say yes. Since the members of the house are up for re-election every two years, and members of the Senate every four, why not have the limits set for the house at four terms, and Senate to two terms. With less time each person can serve maybe something can get done besides game playing, cheating on taxes, fooling around with interns, and toe tapping in airports. What are the different views on this.

  • Is socialism a good thing?

I ask this because of some of the answers I have been seeing. I may be missing something about it, I don't think it is good. More government power to me never helps those who they say it is going to help. What do you think.
