Should I buy a house with a $300/year HOA/POA in Texas?
I've found a good house, but have read horror stories about these associations. It's $300/year and only maintaines a tiny park with 2 small slides. Some people move just to get away from rising POA costs, and I don't want to get stuck with that. I'm willing to attend meetings, but am not the most likeable person, so should I look out of town to avoid it? Or are these POA's worth the costs and fines they can impose?
