Both bands were introspective and philosophical in their output. It's an incredibly unfashionable idea, but I think there might be something to it. I await torrents of abuse due to the post punk/new wave hatred of all things prog. Do we need to be so tribal these days though?

I receive Incapacity Benefit and DLA and want to move to a different area, but don't currently need to claim housing benefit and have no experience of the application process. If I were to just move into a new place and apply, would my application be fairly straightforward due to my disability? I've looked at directgov etc, but can't make any real sense of it all..

My neurologist doesn't seem to have a clue. I've suffered from it for over a year now and I'm none the wiser...

Just curious... feel like I've had some in the past, but not so sure now....are we all c**ts by nature or is it inherited through family/experience stuff?

A band I haven't really explored enough..I've got "In The Court Of The Crimson King" and "Starless And Bible Black", but I don't know too much more of their stuff. Any suggestions?

Just listening to "Evil Hoodoo" by The Seeds....Great tune- only two chords, but it works brilliantly....Any others you can think of?

I'm thinking along fairly abstract lines here...For example- "Neon Meate Dream Of A Octafish" by Captain Beefheart, or "You Must Fight To Live On The Planet Of The Apes" by The Mummies. Feel free to be more conservative if you want, though....

They've been a favourite of mine for a long time. "Ogden's Nut Gone Flake" is a real classic- The combination of Stevie Marriott's voice and passion with Ronnie Lane's subtle genius is hard to resist for me...I'm curious to know what Americans think of them, though, as they were very much a "British band" in terms of the humour etc

A really unusual album, but for me it sums up 60's Psyche Rock perfectly...The Gregorian stuff is beautifully balanced with some of the best psyche freak out jams I've ever heard....But what do you think?

A great band. They did (or do..not sure) superb 60's style garage punk. Their version of "Out Of Our Tree" was superb ( from the album"The Mummies Play Their Own Records). There's stuff of theirs on youtube if you wanna check it out...sorry, but I can't be bothered to sort out the links....
