  • Result of Driving with a Breaking Transmission?

I've got a 98 neon thats making a bit of a grating noise while shifting into second gear (its manual, i think it may be the synchro), but it only makes the noise the first couple times i shift after starting it, and then goes away. It is very drive-able as is, and i really don't want to pay to have the tranny taken out. What kind of repercussions am i looking at driving it as is? Will it eventually wreck the whole tranny, or is it seemingly minor enough that it will only wreck that gear in a worst case scenario? Any help or feedback is greatly appreciated, thank you.

  • Question on xbox profiles and live cards...?

Alright, so I have a 360, and have been playing offline for fun for a few months now. Recently, I decided to try some online stuff for a few games just for the hell of it, so I bought a subscription card. Unthinkingly, I set up the live account, and in doing so, created a new profile to go with the gamertag. I now have 2 gamertags, one that is pretty much only usable for live, and the other with all my g-points and accomplishments, etc.

So i guess my question is, is there a way to transfer the 3-month gold card to the already existing profile with all the g points? Or some way to transfer all my g-points and achievements to the recently created profile? Or am i gonna have to wait until these three months are up and then apply live to my other account?

I guess if anyone could shed some light on this, or tell me what they would do in my position, it would be very helpful.

    Thanks.

  • How can people say Obama does not appear weak to the world?

Bush, dislike him, hate him, or really hate him, kept Americans safe. After 9/11, he put his foot down, and terrorists knew they couldn't get away with their actions on US soil, so they took them elsewhere. Nobody wanted to **** with George.

However, since Obama has been in office, terrorists released from Guantanamo have attempted to attack US aircrafts again, and US soldiers were shot and killed on a military base on US soil. This is within the last YEAR of Obama being president.

Not to mention the fact that he's so preoccupied with his leftist idealogies that he refuses to acknowledge Iran's approach to nuclear weaponry, or the fact that they recently took an oil field in Iraq. Where was all his talk of liberty and individual rights when the corrupt government rigged an Iranian election? Was he fast to respond, quick to tell Ahmadenijad(sp) he wasn't gonna put up with it? Or even that the United States so much as frowned upon the actions of the Iranian government?

He continues to talk about his would-be sit-downs with foreign leaders.

Can any of you lefties defend this?

Can any of you righties rationalize this?

  • Good Program For Editing Out High Unwanted Frequencies?

I've got some recordings made in Garageband, they're all sounding really good, but here and there I've got some high pitched, unwanted frequencies coming in through the recordings. Editing and Mixing didn't take care of them, I've heard some mastering programs will do this? I just need something user friendly that will essentially take out all these ugly frequencies to make them radio friendly.

    Any programs recommended?
